"She is at the out house, Eshitha ji. Do you want me to call her?" Radha asked.

"No no. I want to talk to you and Udhay about something." Eshitha said in a serious tone.

Uday walked in at that time, being informed by Rajat that he was summoned.

"Uday, Radha. You know the Pandit ji of the Shiv mandir we always go to?" Eshitha asked

"Ah ji."

"Well, he called me today. Asked about Vaani." Eshitha said with a soft smile.

Parth frowned upon hearing that.

"What about Vaani?" Radha asked.

"Someone saw her at the temple last week. They liked her and wanted to ask her hand in marriage for their son. Pandit ji said it is a nice family. And the boy is also good. Earning well. Talk to Vaani and think about it." Eshitha said.

"What nonsense!" Parth thundered, startling his family and Vaani's at the same time.

"Parth? Why are you getting so worked up?" Kabir asked with a frown.

"Nobody is going to marry Vaani other than me," he bit out angrily, shocking everyone present there.

"Parth? What are you saying?" Eshitha asked, seeing her son so angry.

Right at that moment, Vaani walked in with a tray of tea and snacks.

Vaani frowned seeing everyone looking at her weirdly

Her chacha and chachi were also looking at her the same way.

"What happened?" Vaani asked her uncle softly.

"Vaani," Parth called out loudly, ignoring the people staring at him in disbelief.

"Ji?" Vaani asked anxiously.

"Tell them that you will marry only me." Parth demanded loudly.

Vaani let out a scandalised gasp at his outrageous demand. She looked around worriedly and found everyone staring at both of them.

"Parth, you don't even know her. She has been here for hardly a week." Kabir said in disbelief.

"I have known her for more than that." Parth said.

"How?" Eshitha asked.

"For the one month I was away, I was in Sayyali, Vaani's village." Parth said and explained the whole story from the moment he stepped foot in Sayyali.

"Oh my god! All these things happened and we didn't even have a clue.." Sarang said, glaring at his elder brother for keeping this a secret from them. Now he understood why his Parth bhai had a problem whenever he stared at Vaani. Uh! Vaani bhabhi it is..

"I was about to talk about her to you, Mom. This is not how I wanted to present this to you" Parth said softly, looking apologetically at his mom.

"Vaani. Is it true?" Udhay asked his niece.

Vaani was awkward having her relationship exposed like this. And she was worried how her uncle would react to it. She didn't want them to regret bringing her here, by bringing a bad name to them.

"Vaani, this is the same chachu of yours who fell in love with a woman from another caste and eloped from the village, after being ordered to be stoned to death. He will never judge you." Parth pointed out.

Uday and Radha looked at him in horror. Nobody here knows how they ended up in Mumbai.

"What? Ordered to be stoned to death? What atrocity is that?" Kabir asked in horror.

"Honour killing still exists in India, Kabir." Parth said.

"Oh Uday kaka. Why did you never mention it? We could have fought lawfully. You didn't have to stay away from your family for so long." Kabir said, disappointed at having missed an opportunity for a legal fight.

"That's not the issue now, Kabir bhaiyya. Focus on Parth bhai and Vaani bhabhi." Sarang hissed at his elder brother.

"Yes yes, of course."

"Uday, Radha. If my son is happy with your niece, I have no objections to it." Eshitha said with a smile.

"You don't?" Vaani asked in wonder.

"His happiness is what matters to me. He had been through so much in his life. If he is happy with you, then I am happy." Eshitha said, caressing Vaani's cheeks with an affectionate smile on her face.

"But you will have to follow the two feet rule, Parth. You cannot go anywhere near Vaani until your marriage." Kajal pointed out cheekily.

Parth let out a dramatic sigh.

"There will be no need for that, Kajal bhabhi. Vaani is even more conservative than our dadi. She still belongs to the generation who believes s*x and even a lip lock before marriage is a taboo. She hasn't let me anywhere near her yet." Parth said shamelessly, making everyone gape at him.
