I shrugged my shoulders and peeped at Ekansh and his friend, "I dunno, but something has changed."
"I can see that you have been blushing so much since morning," Avinash commented. As usual, he was scrapping the remains of curry from the box I brought for them.
We dropped our conversation and began to discuss the practical test, which we will be having on Monday. After that Saniya took me for a stroll, where she asked about our date.
"So you both didn't have sex?" She probed without any shame. I shook my head.
"I am not ready, and I am not sure about things between us. What if I assume everything is fine and suddenly he will hand me divorce papers."
She gave me a painful smile, but nodded her head, "I understand. Huff! Mohobath!" She whispered and took a deep breath. "Let's go to the lecture hall."
After classes, we exchanged our farewells. Neither of them had a session with their mentors. So, I was alone for that.
Sometimes, I imagine Ekansh making out with Anthra in his cabin. But when I see him alone, I feel relief flowing like bliss in my vessels.
I smiled at him but he gave a weird glance. Ok. Professionalism.
The instant I settled on the chair in front of the desk, he questioned, "What would you like to learn today?"
About things changing between us.
But no. In hospital, he is a strict, Arrogant Dr. Ekansh Razdan, who doesn't like humouring.
"I need some viva tips; we have an exam on Monday."
"Oh!" He sighed staring at my practical textbook. Then he dragged it towards him and went through a few things. "Let's start then!" I took my notebook out and even a pen. I started noting down whatever he spoke.
After a few minutes of our class, he said something unrelated to medicine, "we got an invitation today."
My response was not straight. I tilted my head left and right, and then I asked, unaware and like an innocent girl, "Are you speaking with me, sir?"
"No, with Anth–"
"Sar phod dungi aapka!"
"I will smash your head!" I threatened, sounding possessive before he finished.
He chuckled. "Nak Chidi Kudi. Harshit and his wife, Meera invited us for dinner."
"Tonight?" I asked.
He nodded.
Simultaneously, We received a knock and Anthra stepped inside. "Oh, you seem to be busy?" She asked, approaching him.
"Yes." He replied without any beat. "She is a newly transferred student. And I am her mentor."
"Oh! " she exclaimed and I peeped at her through the corner of my eyes to study her. I don't understand, what he saw in her. She looks like a monster to me. "Then I will text you tomorrow, we can meet out or in my apartment." I squeezed my palms in fists. Suddenly, I got the urge to squeeze her neck until she took her last breath.
"Actually, my big brother and his wife are visiting us, tomorrow."
What? And he didn't feel it important to inform me?
"Okay. Then we will go out someday."
"Yeah!" Then she walked out.
I stayed silent and went through my practical textbook. He cleared his throat.
