"This is weird. Guys, something isn't right. There's no response, not only from Lani. Why isn't anybody else saying anything either?" Ray said before sprinting out into the open area where everyone was hanging out. The three ran after him. 

They stopped at the open area, to be met with nothing, more specifically, no one. "No way.." Y/n trailed off as she looked everywhere. "Where did everyone else go?" 

They all stood in terrifying silence, thinking of what to do. Looking around, they failed  to see the ground beneath them slowly moving. Y/n was about to take a step forward, until her foot sunk into the ground below her. She let out a loud, "Huh?", before the ground under all of them sank below, making them fall along with it. 

As if on instinct, Ray grabbed Y/n by the arm and held her by the waist protectively as Thoma held onto her back for dear life. Emma took hold of the younger child in her arms tightly.

They all fell to the ground with a loud 'Thud!', Thoma not forgetting to shout out "Ow!". The underground was engulfed in darkness as they opened their eyes from the impact. Y/n groaned as she slowly pushed herself off the ground. She could still feel the grip Ray had on her waist as she got up. Her face heated up a bit as she patted his arm reassuringly. "Ray, you good?" She asked, thankful for the pitch black atmosphere. She could feel Ray finally stand up and clear his throat. "Yea, you?" "I'm good..Wait, where's Thoma-" "AGHHHH, A BUG!" 

Y/n and Ray deadpanned. "I think he's fine." Ray concluded. The two's eyes finally adjust a bit to the dark, and see Emma and Chris a couple feet away from them. "Are we underground?" Emma asked as the two walked to her. "Yea, most likely." Ray replied while Thoma tried to run away from the bug. 

"Do you guys think everyone else is down here too?" Y/n asked as the other two nodded. "Let's search." Ray said. "Guys!" Chris shouted as he pointed ahead of them to a light. From the same direction, yells of their names could be heard. The five run to the light, finally with their family again. 

"Thank god you're all okay!" Emma and Y/n said together as they hugged their siblings. "Look everyone!" Chris exclaimed as he pointed at all the weird life forms and plants in the setting. But it was all blended in with millions of tree roots and vines. All the children started to inspect the cave curiously. But Emma, Y/n, and Ray looked around in worry. They'd never seen this on the map. 

"Let's focus on getting out of here." Emma said as she walked up to one of the hanging vines and pulled on it, only for it to fall apart. "All these roots are too weak to climb.." She said. "Looks like it'll be difficult to find our way to our side from here." Gilda added. "Let's look for a new exit!" Don shouted as he began to walk off. 

They all walked together, observing the new environment they'd just found. Gilda giggled. "They look like they're having so much fun!"  She said, gesturing to the younger kids. Yvette jumped up. "They've all forgotten that they're tired. It's a lot warmer in here than above ground, and maybe, this was for the better! We've been hiding from our enemies." She exclaimed, but Ray quickly shot her down.
