📍Moscow, Russia||🗓️Three Years Later
A knock sounds throughout the room and I glance up at the door to see my secretary popping her head inside, "Sir your wife is here" she announces and I nod telling her to let her in.
Wrapping up some paper work with a new shipment I just sent off I look up just in time to see my babygirl entering the room.
"You said you'd be finish with work and free to have lunch with me" she says eyeing the stack of papers on my desk and I push my chair back so she could take a seat on my lap.
"I'm always free for you" I flirt kissing her lips and she blushes shying away from me as she puts my lunch on my desk.
"How are my girls going?" I asked running my hands over her enlarged belly and she leans into me, "We miss you" she pouts and I smile.
I've been home all week and the one time I pop into the office to handle something she's pouting.
"Are the boys giving you any trouble?" I asked pulling the lunch box towards me and she shakes her head, "Aleksei asked to spend the day with them so I just dropped them off"
Removing the lid on the lunch she brought, my stomach rumbles at the delicious scent permeating the room.
"How yuh know a this me would a want?" I asked playfully narrowing my eyes at her, "Because you been an ask for it since Monday" she sass taking the fork from my hand to eat some.
Handing the fork back to me after a minute I raised a brow, "You finish?" I asked and she nods.
"I have one meeting left for today then I'm all yours" I tell her diving into the food and she turns to face me, "Okay, oh mommy called today to let me know they're keeping a family reunion next weekend, are you free?" she asks and I nod.
Even if I wasn't I would clear my schedule to be there with her. It's been three years since we've moved to Russia and as promised we went back every holiday to spend time with our family.
Our little family has grown quite a bit too but before I get into us let me catch you up on what the others have been up to.
Azai and Sy'rai celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary here with us a few months ago where they revealed they were planning to have another baby. They now had three kids [Azani, A'rai & Alec] and decided this would be their last.
Amir and Kristen unfortunately broke up a year after we left because Amir caught Kristen with another man in their bed. The irony
It took some time but they now had a great coparenting arrangement going for them. Amir stayed single swearing off relationships but Kristen was now engagement to the man she cheated on him with.
Amir was content with only having his son and Kristen went on to have another baby with her fiancé.
Asa and Azim are still going strong, they retirement two years ago and have been travelling since. They were currently in Barbados visiting a friend of theirs and just overall enjoying life.
Amir took over for Azim at the warehouse with Azai by his side to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Now onto me and my beautiful wife, we eloped three months after moving here and 4 months later Avi would give birth to the triplets. Syn, Sylas and Sevyn Rhodes
Our boys were the spitting images of me, from the color of their eyes down to even having the same birthmark I have on the lower left side of my back.
Avi had a difficult pregnancy with them and we swore we wouldn't have any more kids so imagine my surprise when she tells me a few months ago that she was pregnant again. This time with our babygirl.
When she gave birth to the triplets the labor was so intense she passed out mid labor and they had to rush her into an emergency c-section. I never truly felt fear until the moment the doctor said they were losing her.
Since the start of this pregnancy I've worried every day about how she's going to do in labor. I truly meant it as well when I said we weren't having anymore kids so I got a vasectomy.
I was never open to the idea of having kids in the first place because of how I grew up but besides being her husband, being a father was the best thing in the world.
There wasn't a day I wasn't happy being surrounded by them. I still took my meds but not as much as a few years ago and my therapy session were cut down to once a month instead of twice a week.
"We don't have to wait until next week, if you're up for it we could pick up the triplets and take a two weeks vacation " I suggest and her eyes sparkle with excitement.
"I thought you had to meet with Aleksei tomorrow at the vineyard to approve the new wine" she reminds me but my presence wasn't mandatory, "He's a big boy, he'll manage on his own"
As promised I took over for Aleksei who retired a year ago to settle down with his wife. They still didn't have kids but he'd always say the triplets made up for not having his own.
Aiden still came around whenever he's not busy in Istanbul and he's the only person I talk to from my father's side of the family.
Wrapping my arms around her waist I nestle my face in the crook of her neck, even our relationship has changed so much over the years.
The obstacles that use to take a toll on our relationship were now walk overs and there was nothing that we couldn't get through together using a little communication.
Finishing up the lunch she made me, I thanked her and she hums in satisfaction. Another knock sounds throughout the room and I look away from my wife to see my secretary walking in.
"Mr. Morozov is here for your 1:30 meeting sir" she tells me looking up from my schedule and Avi gets off my lap.
"Mrs. Rhodes since your here would you like for me to walk you through the new codes?" she asks timidly glancing between us.
"I'll be right there Ari, just give me a minute" she answers before turning to me with a glare.
After Ari leaves she starts going off, "Did you threaten the poor girl?" she accuses and I shrug.
I may have threatened a few of our staff about stressing her out because I didn't need her having any complications in this pregnancy but the threats weren't anything major.
