vietnamese rapper, SEBASTIAN VU, one of the co-leaders and vocalist of popular kpop co-ed band VEX1C has gone on hiatus due to health issues.
in a public statement, sebastian's agency HYBE ENTERTAINMENT confirmed that the singer-songwriter will be taking a break from all activities in order to recover from health problems. the statement revealed that the young artist had passed out and fallen unconscious during practice. he was rushed to the hospital immediately after. no other details were given.
one november 2, hybe entertainment shared the following announcement via the group's offical account:
"hello, this is hybe.
we would like to inform you about the status of vex1c member sebastian's health and his future activities.
while practicing, sebastian fell unconscious. the artist was rushed to the hospital.
after being evaluated and examined, sebastian received medical advice saying that he requires immediate treatment and rest.
no specific details will be given at this time.
with the artist's health as our top priority, after careful discussion with the members, we decided that sebastian will not be participating in scheduled activities starting from today and will take a break for the time being to focus on his treatment.
the timing of sebastian's resumption of activities will be decided after sufficient discussion between sebastian and the members.
we sincerely apologize for causing concern to fans.
we will announce sebastian's resumption of activities as soon as it is decided.
