"Stockholm syndrome? Is that a Muggle thing?" he asked, unimpressed.
"It's when hostages fall in love with their captors because it's the only person they're around and because they have to rely on them. So... what are you doing here?"
"None of your business, mudblood. For once, keep your filthy nose out of my affairs," he snarled, venom lacing his words.
She sighed and sat down on a nearby chair.
"Don't you need to go back to Griffin? Be his little pet?" Draco mocked.
She felt anger and shame surge through her body, memories flooding back. She threw a wordless hex, but he moved out of the way just in time, and it hit a cabinet behind him.
"I am not his fucking pet!"
Draco's eyes widened as the cabinet shook violently. His seething gaze turned to her, and he seized her throat. "Do you have any idea what you almost just did!?"
Even as her breath left her, Star glared defiantly. "I'm not his pet."
He scoffed, "Sure fucking looks that way, Gonzalez."
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
Draco let her neck go, shoving her onto the floor. "He tells you to go to him, and you do it. If you're anywhere—oh look! Griffin is right behind you! He doesn't let you out of his fucking sight. Instead of punching the fucking tosser in the face when he commands you to do something, you turn into a brat and ignore it or do it while complaining! What—that's not you! At the party, he dragged you away from us and when Luna tried helping, he said he'd take care of it. Instead of your friends. So yes, Star! His little pet! You are not yourself anymore."
"I'm not—I don't—"
"Oh stuff it, Gonzalez. You do everything he says."
"ONLY BECAUSE—FUCK!"
Star felt sick to her stomach. Draco was right, and she'd only done it to make him jealous. Her earlier resolution wavered. She realized that she needed to make a decision about her relationship with Cas—either kill him or break up with him.
Star felt a headache coming on from the whiplash of her rapidly changing decisions.
"Because what? Fuck, you like it, don't you? Being his property."
"Maybe this is just how I am when I'm in a relationship," she said, fully intent on angering him.
"Or maybe you like being kept on a leash like the rabid little dog you are."
Rage surged through her and she pointed her wand at the cabinet, "Say that again."
"Do that and I'll fucking kill you," he snarled.
"I WILL BURN THIS ROOM DOWN WITH BOTH OF US IN IT, DRACO!" Star boomed manically. "Wouldn't that be so FUCKING ROMANTIC!? Going down in flames, together?"
Draco ran his hands through his hair in a frustrated manner. "Sit your arse down."
Star huffed and complied, lowering her wand. "Why's that thing so important?"
Draco took in a deep breath as if trying to calm himself down. "Just leave or I will Crucio you, Estrella."
"Is this a tantrum, Draky? What are you, five?"
"One of us is."
Star pouted.
"Get out."
"No."
