The burning was unbearable. It spread across your body like a disease. Your heart had stopped beating yet your life was not over. Everything was dark, you were in the dark in pain, alone. You felt alone.

You wanted to call out. Scream out in pain. Get help, someone, something to stop the pain, to end the agony.

Rosaria Pov~

"She was dead before I bit her. Maybe I was too late", I mumbled still by her lifeless body. Diluc, Ei, Eula and Xiao now accompanied me. A silent mourning filled the room. I couldn't bare to live a life without her. She was my one. I dragged her into a life of danger and got her killed.

"I was turned after death. I was murdered outside the tavern, Diluc confirmed I had no heartbeat, but still tried. There's still a chance Rosaria. She needs to fight, which she will. She wasn't ready to leave you either", Eula explained trying to give me hope. I didn't want them seeing me like this, I didn't want them seeing her.
So when they left I didn't stop them. I stayed by her side. I moved her to the bed and waited anxiously.

It took a while, but the wounds eventually closed.

~

When the pain finally came to an end you felt frozen. Scared maybe. You could sense there was someone nearby forcing you to wake. Opening your eyes things felt different. Running a hand along your body you tried to find the wounds, only for them to be completely healed.

"Y/N?"

Rosaria, she sat at your side pulling you into a hug. For the first time having been with Rosaria, she didn't feel cold. She hugged you tightly as if with no fear of crushing you to death. Things were different, you could feel every shift in the air. Hear the rustling trees in the distance. Your eyes were taking in details you missed about Rosaria the previously fresh wounds replaced by thin scars, each one beautiful in your eyes.

It all clicked.

"You turned me?", you couldn't help but smile at the fact. She'd saved your life. You were like her. Forever frozen, forever with her. Your heart had stopped beating, yet it would never stop for Rosaria.

Pulling her lips to yours you wiped the tears from her cheeks.

"I thought I'd lost you Y/N", she whispered before pressing her lips back to yours.
"You'll never lose me Rosaria", deepening the kiss her hands wandered your body. You kept her close your hands tangling in her short hair. The sensation against your skin felt different. She was no longer cold, it was as if every fibre of your body molded perfectly with hers.

"You should eat something", she suddenly spoke up pulling away from the kiss. You gave her a look before she pulled you off the bed.
"No", she quickly shut down your insinuating look taking you to the kitchen. Giving you one of the blood bags she had kept stored for times like this. You shit your eyes mentally preparing for what you were actually about to do. This would take a while to get used to. You hesitantly drank the thick red liquid. You weren't sure what you were expecting, but it was sweet. It tasted like straight sugar, but not overbearing, sweet with a warmth to it.
It reminded you of sampling wine.

This marked the beginning of your new life, your undead life.
You knew you had to say goodbye, moving town with Rosaria and Qiqi was difficult. Leaving your friends was harder. You would see them again. You knew you would. As for College you transferred to a purely online course graduating and earning yourself the qualifications to be a doctor. Something you'd always wanted. You had to get used to your new, everything before you began to work. But you had eternity to work things out.

You moved into your forever home with Rosaria. A small house in the woods a small garden of roses and wild woodland plants decorated your yard. In a way the entire woods were your yard. There were no hiking trails near here, guaranteeing your freedom. Situated in a town where it almost constantly rained, you had no fear of going out in the day. Allowing you to keep some normality in your life. You accepted you'd be moving around a lot. But you'd always return here it was the safest place for you and your newfound family.

You planned a small wedding a year into your new life. A year of peace. It had taken you a while to get used to, well, everything. Your senses were incredibly heightened, which is explained why Rosaria always seemed to find you. But the biggest adjustment was your diet, normal food no longer tasted like food and left you hungry.
Once adjusted you sent out the invites. A small wedding. Close friends and family were the only ones attending.

"I can't believe you're actually getting married", Xiangling whispered pulling you into a hug. She was your maid of honour. After all if it weren't for her, you probably wouldn't be here today.
You would've likely gone back to Cameron and you are eternally grateful to her.
Ready to walk down the aisle. You chose to walk alone. You belonged to no one, you were no one's to give away.
You did your best to blink away tears. Seeing your family, your mother your father and seat left empty reserved for where your brother would have sat.
Xiangling, Chongyun and Xingqiu already wiping away tears.
Xiao, Diluc, Lisa, Jean, Eula, Ei and a seat reserved for Yae Miko had she still been here.
Qiqi and Klee were more than thrilled to be a flower girl and the ring bearer.

And your wife to be. She was beautiful as the day you met her, beautiful forever in your eyes. The smile on her face shone brighter than anyone else's the tears in her eyes meant the most.

"Y/N. From the day I met you, I knew you were the one for me. I knew from that first moment that I would love and cherish you. You brought life into my life one that I had long forgotten. The day you were my girlfriend, I knew I wanted to marry you. I knew that I would love you Forever", her hands gently held yours, her eyes never leaving yours for a moment in the vows. Forever. Only a few here understood the true extent that she meant.

After exchanging your vows it was official. You were married. Rosaria was your Wife, the eternal love of your life. That night was one you'd never forget, one that would stay with you for the rest of your deceased life.

You loved her and she loved you. You had a daughter that cherished her life everyday, she treated you like her parents. Teaching you a love you never thought you'd experience.
This was your forever. One you would love for all of eternity.
