Couple weeks went by and tonight is another full moon. Before the vikings settled on this ground almost 30 years ago, Ayana heard from the spirits of a mystical land where everyone was healthy, blessed by the gifts of speed and strength. That lead them here and the people that were so blessed? They were werewolfs.

Over the years we have made a pact with them. On each and every full moon, once a month we retreated into the caves beneath our village. The wolves howl through the night and by morning we return home.

Also Nik and Elijah made up and Tatia and Elijah are is what I would call a couple. Elijah even told me that their families even briefly talked about a future engagement for the two of them. I've never seen him so nervous and exited at the same time. I'm sure he is frightened to step into the role of a step father to Tatias child but he already is so great to his siblings. And me. He raised me.

I, along side the Mikaelsons stood out side their house. The boys were sword fight. Just as Kol and Klaus were done with their sparing. Elijah stepped forward.

"Oh look Niklaus, the girls have arrived to watch my fast approaching victory!" Elijah said jokingly about me and Bekah with a smile on his faced

"On the contrary, brother..." Nik replied. He swung his sword and with one move and cut Elijah's belt off his waist. "They came to admire your failure"

Everyone started laughing, including Elijah.

The brothers fought one duel and Elijah took his sword and walked away but Nik still stood there and showed us few of his moves. I got an idea and I thought I would take up a challenge and face Niklaus. I took my sword from it's holder and confidently walked towards him.

"Niklaus, do you have time for another duel?" I asked sarcastically, pointing the tip of my sword at him

"I'm suppose to fight a girl?" Klaus laughed slightly and moved my sword away from him

"Are you afraid that a girl will beat you?" I smiled at him and raised an eyebrow

"Ladies first."

Klaus is a good fighter and he was winning but he took a wrong step and lost balance. That gave my an advantage and with one move I defeated him. He tried to balance himself but he fell back to the ground.

"I'm afraid a girl did beat you." I laughed and gave him my hand so he could get up.

Suddenly everyone stops laughing. I didn't even notice when Mikael appeared next to us. I saw anger on his face and disappointment. Mikael approached me furiously and grabbed the sword from my hands. Niklaus quickly got up and I saw him tremble.

"Maybe you'll fight me now?" he pointed his sword at his son

I wanted to run up to him and defend him but Mikael would have overpowered me and I froze in place. Rebekah walked up to me and grabbed my hand to calm me down.

"Father, we were just having fun." Klaus mumbled

"We fight for our survival! And you have time to have fun!" the older viking shouted in his face

Mikael pushed Klaus to the ground and then set the tip of the sword to his throat. I felt Rebekah squeeze my hand thightly.

"You've made your point, Mikael!" said Esther sternly

Mikael signed and stuck my sword into the ground with all his force, an inch from Nik's neck. He then walked away, leaving his son lying there.

Once I saw he was gone far enough, I let go of Bekahs hand and I ran to him. I pulled the sword out of the ground and helped him get up.

"Are you alright? I'm so terribly sorry." I whispered and hugged him tightly

We spent the entire next night in a the tunnels hiding from werewolves and in the morning we returned home. The entire morning I did not see Klaus and Henrik anywhere. They probably went hunting early in the morning.

The sun shined bright and Rebekah visited our house this morning to help us prepare my aunts famous herb stew.  While we were waiting for it to be done, the blonde walked to the window where my aunt hung her magical pendants.

"Be careful Bex. One of these pendants could put a curse on you and you will scare away all the boys." I joked and stepped closer to her also admiring them.

"If anything, you'll will end up alone if you don't put those away." she replied and pointed at my sword that lay by the door "Unless Henrik or Kol take pity on you."

"Very funny." I laughed sarcasticly

"I saw the two of you that night by the fire. You seem happy together Zari."

I smiled. That night was one of the most memorable nights of my life. That night we weren't just living to survive. Life felt good. And I was happy with my best friend

"Let your older brothers marry first before you play a matchmaker to me and Henrik"

The blonde smirked and returned to looking at the talismans like she was drawn to them. I focused on the one with the light blue stone. That necklace belonged to me. It was given to me by my mother. It's the only thing I have left of her. Rebekah then reached her hand to touch it. I saw the necklace spark and she took her hand away.

"It burned me!"

My aunt must have heard her and she appeared in front of us.

"That is not yours to touch." She said with a serious look. Ayana took my necklace and handed it to me "I told you to always wear it."

"Mother!" Someone screamed outside

The three of us looked at each other frightened. The voice sounded familiar. What might have happened? The blonde girl ran out of the house. I grabbed my sword on the way and followed her close behind. What I saw. That image would have stayed with me forever. I saw Niklaus. Covered in blood. He was holding in his arms a dark haired, sweet boy. A boy who was covered in blood, torn to shreds.

That boy was my Henrik.

Another chapter.
I will try to post once a week but I don't promise anything. As you can see our Zariah is quite the warrior and I made a little collage of her in the viking age.
