Late at night, Kush was woken up by some disturbance and a weight on his chest. He opened his side only to see Yuvati on top of him. She was hugging him like a koala while his t-shirt was wet by her tears and sweat. He could hear her mumble something. She hugged him tighter as though he was a pillow. "Yami" she shouted waking up. The girl woke up as well.

"Please don't take her away from me! What has she done? You want me to marry you right? Fine. I will. I will leave him as well. Please don't kill her," she sobbed.

"Yuvati, it is fine. Look here! There is no one over here. It is just you, me and Yamika." He turned on the light. She looked around and saw that she was in the room. She looked at the girl who was crying seeing her mother in pain. Her gaze turned to Kush whose eyes reflected concern, curiosity, pain and sadness. She flung her arms around him and hugged him as tight as she could. "Kush, keep them away from our kids. They will hurt her again. Please keep them safe."

She kept sobbing. "No one is here. I won't let anyone hurt us." He rubbed her chest in a clockwise movement to calm her down. He looked at Yamika. Her worried and terrified state made him more worried for them and curious. Yuvati wrapped her legs around his torso and hands around his neck and dipped her face in his neck. Her hug got tighter. "Kush, is Yamika fine?"

She said lifting her head from his neck. He nodded signalling her to look towards Yamika. She looked at her and got down running to her daughter. She hugged her. Yamika wiped her mother's tears and hers as well. Kush filled them water. After drinking it, Yuvati made their daughter sleep again. Making sure she has fallen asleep, she walked to the washroom ignoring Kush. As soon as she entered, she broke down seeing herself in the mirror.

"Why did you get weak, Yuvati?!" After cursing herself  and crying too much, when the pain didn't reduce, she went rummaged through her closet. Finding it, she went back in. She sat on the edge of shower and with trembling hands, opened the scars again. The scars she gave herself in pain, in anger, in sadness to provide a bit of relief, satisfaction and a push to portray herself happy to the world, to her daughter, to herself.

As the sharp metal pierced through her skin, everything felt settling down. The world seemed to be moving on a steady pace, her heartbeat calmed down, her mind stopped bringing the scary scenes to her eyes. Everything felt fine. "Yuvati! Yuvati!" She heard Kush calling out to her. "Yuvati!" She cleaned the blood, tied a kerchief and changed into dark shades. She opened the door and walk past him but was pulled back.

"Where do you think you're going?" He said. "T-to the ba-balco-ny." She stuttered. Kush loosened his hold seeing her scared and weak form. There were many emotions reflecting from her. She went away from him and stood outside. He trailed behind her. Standing beside her, she looked at him.

"I know what you're wondering but please understand I will tell you when it is time." A lone tear escaped their eyes. Yuvati teared up cause she was mad at the fact that she couldn't tell Kush anything thinking he might've changed and would not accept Yamika after listening to her. Kush teared up at the fact that Yuvati was keeping secrets. The seven year gap between them was unknown to Kush while for Yuvati it was a nightmare at one point of time.

"When is that time?"

"When is that time?"
