𝘐𝘐. 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘕𝘰 𝘚𝘦𝘦

I was looking at everybody at the different tables wondering what kind of conversations they were having, until I heard a familiar voice from a table close to me.

"Layla!" he yelled.

"Austin!"

"Oh my gosh, it's been so long." He walked over to me holding his arms open for a hug, which I gladly took.

"I know! You've only been away for like three years!" I joked and he laughed.

"Yea, filming took longer than expected with all the covid stuff. But hey, I'm here now!" He cheered, that's when his girlfriend Kaia appeared next to him with a smile on her face.

"Hi! You must be Layla!"

"Yea! And you must be Kaia. I loved you in American Horror Stories." I said, she definitely knew I knew who she was. She was also Jacob's ex but we never truly met. I've only seen her at cast parties but we were always occupied with other people.

"Oh stop, thank you. I loved your work in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. You and Austin did an amazing job at playing such intense roles!" She smiled.

It was nice to know there was no bad blood since I'm also friends and co-workers with Jacob still.

Sabrina finally showed up with two drinks in her hand, one being something alcoholic and one being water. "Here I got you this to stay hydrated!" She handed the water to me. That's when she finally realized Austin and Kaia. "Oh, hi guys!"

"Hi Sabrina." Austin nodded, remembering her from the amount of times she would stop by set when we were filming.

"Well were just at this table over there if you guys would like to join us!" Kaia spoke up pointing behind her. I looked to Sabrina for confirmation and she nodded.

"We would love to!" We grab our things from the table and make our way to their table that has three other people at it. Two were women, one blonde, one with red hair while the third was a shorter man with brown hair.

"We have two newcomers joining us." Austin announces. The three all looked up and greeted us with warm smiles until the redhead realized something about us and her smile came to a slight smirk. I knew who she was and she seemed to know me as well, I loved her music.

The blonde woman comes up to me and Sabrina, "Hi, i'm Olivia! It's so nice to meet you guys!" She says in an Australian accent, holding out her hand which I accept.

"Nice to meet you too! I'm Layla, and this is..."

"Sabrina." She shakes her hand introducing herself. We then turn our attention to the brown haired man beside Olivia.

"Barry." He says in a very Irish sounding accent. I see Sabrina's eyes light up at the man. She definitely has a thing for European men and I can't blame her.

The red head stayed where she was. "Dua," she said quickly, then averted eye contact with me. What was her problem?

I grew to be very uncomfortable when Olivia snapped me out of my trance.

"So what brings you guys here tonight?"

"Well I haven't been out of the house in a while and S wanted to take me out," I replied, looking over at Sabrina who was very invested in her own conversation with Barry. "What about you?"

"Same as you. I've been busy filming a movie for so long I've forgotten what fun is," she joked. "Three years is quite a long time I tell ya." She was an actress as well, why didn't I recognize her?

"Are you one of Austin's co-workers?" I already know the answer.

"Yep! I play Priscilla alongside Elvis," she responds pointing towards Austin engaging in conversation with Dua and Kaia.

"Oh my gosh! That's amazing." She explains to me about what it was like meeting Priscilla and embodying her until we were interupted by a loud thud on the table.

"Drinks are up!"

My heart dropped to the man's voice.

It's not him.

It can't be him.

"Took you long enough Cal!" Austin laughed.

Fuck.

AUTHORS NOTE- Cliffhanger! Anyway I know I have changed A LOT about the timeline like Kaia and Austin being together even though they weren't even dating until like last year, same with Barry/Sabrina and Callum/Dua but i just wanted to add a twist to the story!  Also sorry for the change in months, I realized Masters of the Air didn't start filming till like May of 2021 so i switched it and also Callum and Layla only dated for 10 months not two years -my timeline mistake :( - I also noticed that this is a very dialouge heavy chapter and some will be like this but not all. Anyways I really hope you enjoyed this chapter! BTW I LOVE feedback so comment freely but please be nice to each other!- Bri :)
