It was a calm day in the marshes of the Mud Kingdom. A hunting troop had just returned from an outing; among them was a mudwing with frills and green scales, yet the others in his troop still counted him as their own. His name was Frog. He wasn't much of a hunter, but he knew a lot about herbs, so he was his group's healer.

Frog tended carefully to the sibs in his group to treat their wounds. He was happy to do so, but in truth, these mudwings weren't his actual siblings. Frog did have a brother; he was Queen Moorhen's treasure keeper, so he was at the palace at all times. Frog desperately wanted to meet his brother to see what kinda mudwing he was, but his nerves didn't let him do so he was too nervous to go and ask the Queen if he could meet him.

Day after day, Frog would just sit and stare towards the mudwing palace, unsure whether or not to go and try and talk with his brother, whom he had never met but only heard about.

One of the sibs of Frog's group his bigwing, poked his back. "Frog, you spend day after day just staring at the palace. Is there something on your mind? Maybe it's one of Queen Moorhen's sibs you like?" She said only joking about the part about Queen Moorhen's siblings. Frog blushes adorably at the idea.

"Oh, it's not that Caramel just in deep thoughts. I have a brother at the palace, my only brother, actually, but I can't work up the confidence to go and try and find  him." Frog told her, admitting his cowardice to Caramel,

"Oh, you poor dear Frog Maybe I should come with you, then we can find your brother and Moorhen's sister!" Caramel said as Frog didn't even know how to respond to that. Caramel chuckled at Frog's shyness. "Come on, Frog, I was only playing; you don't have to go if you ain't ready to face your brother or someone special," Caramel said as she left him to stare at the palace.

Frog jumped as he heard the hiss of a crocodile behind him and looked unamused at the croc before it ran off, being chased by other mudwings, yet Frog still stood there, almost paralyzed with nerves.

"Com'on, Frog, you can't keep doing this; it's time to just go for it!" Frog thought to himself and took a deep breath as he walked towards the palace entrance as the moons shine down on the lake surrounding it.

Frog looked around as he walked the halls, but asked a guard where the Treasury was. He pointed Frog to a flight of stairs going down.

Frog walked down a level and soon found the treasury, along with one bored-looking black and brown mudwing. It was him, the dragon Frog had heard about, who was also his brother Trove Queen Moorhen's treasure keeper.

Frog took a deep breath before he approached Trove, who was busy gnawing at a cow leg. He looked up with an eyebrow raised when Frog approached him. "What'd you want?" Trove asked, sounding like he was in a somewhat sour mood,

"Evening Trove right? Hi, my name is Frog. I was hoping to meet you." Frog said he was trying a friendly approach, although he had a feeling it sounded sloppy.

"Yeah, I am Trove Queen Moorhen's devoted treasure keeper, but why would you want to meet me? I am not exactly the kinda dragon who needs  company." Trove said as he shallowed another piece of cow meat before taking another bite of the cow leg,

"Well, alright, then maybe I could visit you during the day hours? There's things I wanna talk to you about," Frog said, turning to leave as Trove yawned with a slight annoyed growl. "Spill it, Frog, what'd you want to tell me?" He asked impatiently,

"No need to get angry! I just thought it was a bad time. You seem in a awful mood, and I just thought I might come back later..." Frog said he was letting his nerves get to him.

"I don't think I made it clear enough." Trove said as he stood up, "TELL ME WHY YOU ARE HERE!!!" Trove shouted at Frog as Frog lost his nerve and let it all spill.

"Okay okay! I am here because I'm your brother! And I thought of meeting you for the first time!" Frog said as he covered his head with wings, afraid that Trove might attack him.

"I don't have any brothers or sisters; I only have Queen Moorhen. My egg was abandoned and left in the palace I been here all my life. I can't imagine myself being related to such a nervous wreck of a brother," Trove said, looking at Frog, who peeked out a eyes from beneath his wings.
