Season 2 Chapter 16 Her Awakening

Start from the beginning

Kiaria typically doesn't take the bus as Jax insists that she should be driven by one of his drivers every morning, but she doesn't want to bother anyone. She wants to inform Jax that she's on the way back but then realises she doesn't even have Jax's number. Then, her body felt heavy - she felt like she was carrying a bag of stones and then she swung to the side and hid the ground. A loud thud went off, and a buzz went off that sounded like a pop towards the end. She feels something warm oozing out and she closes her eyes.

Kiaria wakes up to Cassie (Angel C)and Minister lookalikes (Angel J) and sees them bickering. She was back in the romantic area, but the difference was she was on a bed, with once again, everything in white.

"She's not yours! You shouldn't see her that way! How would God feel about this" Angel C says exasperatedly.

"At least I am honest with how I feel. I'm not like you, pretending to be her angelic friend when you're interested in her." Angel J snaps, bearing his fangs which shocked Angel C. That man was suffering from the symptoms of corruption, which meant that he had impure thoughts and his soul was going to be corrupted soon at this rate that he was going.

"We are angels!"

"Well, I don't care. I will go to hell if I can be with her. You can stay in paradise and never see her again. Because I have corrupted her and she will descend with me."

A hot sensation douses Kiaria and she blinks again. This time she sees a different scenery in front of her. Her vision was slightly blurry but she could tell the minister was next to her, while the doctor was examining opposite him. This oddly felt like déjà vu, that she had experienced this before.

"Why is she not vaccinated?" The minister angrily questions.

"I believe there was a mix-up in the injections given to her...the one that she received was a vitamin injection instead..." Kiaria's focus was blurring off again. She tried to pay attention to what they were saying but she was dazing off again.

"Then your staff should be (fired). You already know that she's important to me and you didn't prioritise accordingly."

"Apologies, sir...the issue now might not be the virus, ...she is experiencing her awakening..."

Kiaria's eyes felt heavy. It felt good to close them and soon she fell into a deep sleep.

When she opens her eyes again, she sees herself in the arms of Angel J while she is tied up. Kiaria felt tears sliding down her cheeks while Angel J was screaming at the top of his lungs, challenging more angels to come over and destroy them as he laughed. She looks at both of their wings and they are blackened, implying heavy signs of corruption.

When she looks up, she sees 5 extremely big-sized drawn versions of the 8 constellation circles of curses on the walls behind God, also known as the Great Mother Earth Spirit. She was fully cursed by these circles, chained up with her power rapidly deteriorating. She could only watch in pain as her angels one by one under the hands of J.

"Too bad, I corrupted her. If you kill me, she will be left all alone in this world to fend for herself! A corrupted angel with no one to protect!" He laughs as he slaughters other incoming angels mercilessly, while Kiaria continues to cry, asking him to stop. "We have come too far," Angel J laments to her," We have gone against our angel's vows and forsaken God."

Angel C comes forward and Angel J smirks. "I never liked you, but thanks for making her smile and laugh all these while. I will wipe off your existence and disappear from the face of heaven while we are at this."

Angel C only stares straight into  Angel J. "I won't let you hurt her." He takes out his spiritual contract vow with god and burns it. Kiaria widens her eyes in horror. "I will corrupt myself so that I can descend with her to protect her from you." His wings began to blacken and so did Kiaria's cries increased even more. "No! Your wings! No more sacrifices for me!"

Angel J grits his teeth harshly and throws Kiaria into the well of mortals before he flung himself off as well. Angel C didn't give up either and he jumped down with them. As they fell rapidly from the sky, Angel J formed the 8 constellation circles of curses and sent them towards Angel C. "I have laid an 8th-degree curse on you, K. So long as I'm not happy, you won't be happy either!"

Kiaria opens her eyes again and this time she sees the minister sitting next to her with his troubled sleeping face that indicates a lack of rest. She touches her forehead and feels that she is warm, indicating that she is still unwell. Kiaria rarely falls sick, so this time's illness is quite severe given how she was knocked out on the floor.

Kiaria checks her phone sees a couple of concern texts from the group chat and checks the date. A good 3 days had passed. She texts the group chat to explain

Don't worry, I'm alive. I'm having a fever now. Been sleeping a lot.

Is it the virus? Or awakening?

I'm not sure. While I was asleep I heard the doctor briefly mention both. I'll go back to sleep. Help me to explain to Joseph and Cassie.

Helena texts the group chat:

Kiaria, rest well for now. You will know if it's awakening from feeling a surge of power within yourself.

Thanks Helena.

Kiaria puts her phone down and looks back at the minister. He looks so exhausted that he doesn't even wake up to her moving around.

Kiaria thinks about the recent dreams that she has. It is too much of a coincidence that she keeps meeting the lookalikes C and J within the same context. As crazy as they seem, the more Kiaria dreams about them, the more she thinks they are real memories. The medium at Great Mother Nature's temple mentioned that her spirit was declining Was it because of the curse mentioned in the dream? Anyways, she was in no rush to uncover more. Regardless of what happened in the past, she was focused on helping possessors and finishing her 1-year spiritual contract with the minister.
