the next morning rue woke up her face buried in... boobs? she pulled back and sighed when she recalled last night. she smiled to herself. her arms were still wrapped around leighton's waist, the latter's hands in her hair, their legs intertwined. 

"hey" leighton spoke in her hoarse voice when she saw rue. leighton smiled 

"hi" rue smiled as she pulled away supporting her head on her palm with her elbow on her bed as she looked down at the blonde. she rubbed her eyes "we have to talk before you leave for you kappa thing" rue sat up 

"it's too early for all that seriousness" leighton pulled rue back to lay beside her. rue chuckled 

"yeah but" she sighed as she got back up after a minute putting on her sweatshirt

"hey" leighton sat up and rue looked at her "that's a nice color for a sweatshirt" 

"yeah, it's just black" rue said before she realised what leighton was trying to convey "oh" she chuckled as she took it off "do you have a shirt i can borrow?" leighton pointed at the closet door 

"take the blue one" she said as rue took it out and put it on, it was a bit oversized just as rue liked it, she put her pants on and threw her sweatshirt towards leighton making her catch it and chuckle as she put in on "it's soft" 

they heard the door knock and rue looked at leighton to find any sort of panick on her face but found none. 

"leighton, do you have a girl in there?" bela's voice was heard making leighton walk to the with rue behind her and open it. the three girls sitting in the common room looked at the two coming out of the room 

"hi?" rue looked at them 

"so it's back on, huh?" bela smiled at them, rue looked at leighton

"oh i don't kn-" 

"yeah it is" leighton smiled at the girl when their eyes met 

"i'll call you?" she asked as she leaned in to put a chaste kiss to leighton's lips which the blonde returned 

"yeah" was all leighton said

"i'll see you guys" she told whitney, kimberly and bela before she walked leaving a flustered leighton behind

"wait what?" abby spoke in a loud voice clearly shocked 

"what the hell do you mean by that?" kayla asked just as shocked 

see the thing is they wouldn't have been so shocked if rue just told them about leighton because they both hoped it would happen and kinda saw it coming. but rue dropped another bomb. 

"yeah, i mean i feel like i found what i really wanna do with my life" she sighed "just, don't tell anyone it's not confirmed yet" she nodded to herself pickimh up a shot "last pre-game of the year?" 

the three walked inside the theta building and it was packed. rue spotted leighton with her roommates and approached them with abby and kayla. 

"hey" she snaked her hand around the blonde's waist who in turn wrapped hers around rue's neck giving her a small peck on the cheek 

"hi" she smiled at rue 

"get a room" lila joked "welcome to the dare or dare party where you have to complete the dare written at the bottom of your cup" she explained making the girls smile "on this side of the table they're horny and this one's plain nasty" she pointed to either stacks of the cups "i took one of both" the girls laughed at that 

"smash heads with a red head?" leighton read her cup's bottom 

"i need that one" jocelyn came out of nowhere and exchanged their cups before she hurried away 

"i am not gonna make out with a stranger at this party" leighton made a face. rue took her arm back 

"well" she cleared her throat "we haven't officially met, i think" she spoke with her british accent making leighton chuckle as leaned in and kissed her, smiling between the kiss before continuing 

"ginger, love that you're wearing that long coat" leighton told the girl when she and rue met with alicia and ginger 

"thank you. but i cannot stay long, i donated blood two more times so i am feeling weak" rue looked at leighton with pure confusion "and i do not like the way that guy is looking at me" she nodded her head towards a poster of 'brad' who was clearly looking somewhere else. rue's confusion turned into horror

"why don't you go sit down?" alicia asked her 

"yeah, let me show you to a couch or something" rue was genuinely worried about ginger as she walked away 

"i'll go deal with that later" alicia waved it off "she's fine" leighton chuckled "so, how's kappa?" 

"um" leighton leaned back against the pool table "i quit" 

"oh no" alicia dramatically said "did you find an even blonder place to live?" she sarcastically commented to which leighton just looked at her "wait are you being serious?" 

"i am" she took a breath "i decided i'd rather spend my time at the women's centre, ya know? with the people i actually like" 

"if this is because you vandalised another statue adn got community service. i will find out" alicia informed 

"um also" leighton reached back into her pocket "i have this" she gave alicia a check

"holy shit" alicia's eyes widened "thirty thousand dollars?" she spoke in disbelief "this is going to completely save us" she looked at leighton for a beat and leaned in, pressing her lips to the blonde's 

leighton immediately pulled away 

"shit, i am so sorry" alicia apologised when leighton's eyes met with rue at a distance who just looked away and walked away 

leighton hurried away, she knew she shouldn't have been so close to alicia. she knew she messed up and she could not afford to lose rue, not again. she spotted the girl talking to aiden. 

"rue?" she called making rue look at her "can we uh can we talk?" she stuttered. rue looked at aiden and walked away from him to leighton 

"yeah?" she said 

"i did not mean to do that rue, i swear i did not thin-"

"hey, shh" rue chuckled " i know" 

"you do?" 

"yeah. i saw it, you didn't kiss her, she kissed YOU" rue nodded to herself "i just trusted you to reject her advances" 

"thank god. i thought you were mad at me" leighton sighed and rue chuckled and pulled her in for a hug 

"lila, what's up?" rue asked as they pulled away and saw lila looking for someone 

"my cup says i have to find 50 people to kiss and i've only found 35" she looked at rue and leaned down to connect their lips 

"we're equal" she looked at leighton "do wanna get out of here?" 

"yeah" leighton took rue's hand as the two walked back out. they walked through the path till they found a bench to sit on 

"so" rue held leighton's hand as she spoke "you wanna listen to some music?" 

"is it a song you wrote for me?" leighton teased the girl making her face turn red 

"it's just a playlist i made" she took out her phone and connected the earbuds giving one to lighton who kept looking at her "for you" she admitted before hitting play 

leighton wrapped her hands around rue's arm and rested her head on rue's shoulder. rue in turn rested her head on the blonde's with 'sweet' by 'cigarettesaftersex' played in their ears.
