While Vero was on his way to Kingdom Records, he suddenly felt the same ominous chill he experiences whenever he was in the presence of a spirit. This time the feeling was different, it was like it was calling him towards it.
The young man stopped swinging, adhering to a fire escape. This chilling sensation was ten times more than a regular spirt. As if his body was moving subconsciously or being lured to where this presence was coming from, he followed it.
The young man soon landed in the middle of an empty street. No trance of anything. But, several meters away in front of him stood another figure, a figure he recognized too well.
"Warren." Vero addressed him.
"Hey." The man greeted back, casually, hands in his pockets.
"You alone?" Vero asked.
"Obviously." Warren confirmed. "You don't see anyone else around do ya?"
"To be honest, I actually prefer it this way so no jackass is in the way of you and me doing this for real." Warren stated.
"You ditch the stupid Getup now. I know it's you in there." Warren stated to the young man who didn't act surprised. "How the heck do you people even breath in that stuff?"
"To be blunt, it's irritating and suffocating." Vero groaned then took off his visors, mask and hoodie off his head. "Kids, I understand, but I don't really understand how adults can wear these things like it's a trendy style." He said, snidely.
"So, I guess the rumors really are true. You can see spirits who haven't crossed over." Warren said as he casually paced from side to side.
"Yeah, it's true but I don't see why you're..." Vero stopped mid-sentence when he noticed a familiar detail just like all the spirits he's encountered. He was slightly transparent. "Oh, now I see."
"So I take you're on your way to take down King?" Warren inquired by judging the direction Vero was heading which was straight to the Kingdom Records building.
"You already know the answer to that so I'll inquire with my own; Do I have to fight you to get through?" Vero inquired.
"No, I'm here to offer you my blessing so you end up with a hot babe before you die." Warren said sarcastically. "What do you think?"
"I think you can keep your blessing and use for the same thing for the next world." Vero replied, flippantly.
"But I think... You're here for personal reasons rather than to protect your boss." Vero pointed out.
Warren chuckled. "Oh? So you noticed, huh? Yeah, you can say that. When that bitch Tanisha killed me, I thought I was gonna wake up in hell but I wasn't. Instead I found myself here, the first thing I saw was my own dead corpse lying on the floor. After that I tried figuring out why the hell was I stuck here but with no one able to see me that was a pointless cause. That is until I ran into a spirit of a little girl who told me there was someone who helps spirits crossover to the afterlife. "Look for the guy with light brown skin and snowflake colored hair, he'll help out", that was all she said. Snowflake hair was the part that caught my attention. This city-no-the world has only one person who fits that description."
"So care to explain why I'm stuck in this world?" Warren inquired.
"The answer to that is easy, sorta anyway; It's because you're holding a grudge against someone here which is probably your boss, another possibility could be that there's something keeping you tied to this world, or it could be there's unfinished business you need to finish first."
"Unfinished business, huh? Not getting payback by killing King and Tanisha is certainly something I'll consider a regret." Warren said, snidely.
"But deep down, I can't shake this feeling that I'm not still here because I want revenge on those two. We'll enough anyway." Warren remarked, silently.
