Abhidnya was sitting in the long corridor of the West wing of their massive haveli. It's been her favourite place because from here she can see the insides of her husband's study which is Adhavan’s favourite place and the entrance, waiting for her husband to arrive at the palace.

She would be reading books, reciting poetry, and looking into the official works of her father-in-law or grievances of their estate people, sometimes weaving or doing anything to distract herself from thinking about her husband.

People of Jaigarh say that they have never seen their queen smile. She is soft spoken, polite, caring, understanding, helping but nobody has seen her laughing.

Now how can she, when the reason for her smile is hardly with her. The reason for her smile never gives her a reason to smile.

IN THE LIBRARY

“Yuvan……where is he? It's been long since you know he is not here. I mean….. wo aaye nahi, mile nhi, pata bhi nhi hai ki woh hai kahan”, Abhidnya stuttered. She hesitantly asked Yuvan about her husband whom she has not seen for a week now.

“Abhi….. bhai sa is occupied with some work. He is in London now. He will be here in India by this afternoon but I don't know when he will return home”, Yuvan explained

Abhidnya won't voice out her thoughts but one look at her and anyone can know how much she is missing her husband.

Yuvan thought of a compensation, “okay let's do one thing, I will talk to Jammy or Anya and will tell you about his details”

Abhidnya gave a faint smile and left for her chamber.

AT MIDNIGHT

Abhidnya was sitting on the ground inside her chamber. Her head placed on her folded arms on the tea table.

There was a serene silence when the door opened suddenly, startling Abhidnya. She frantically raised her eyes to meet with a bloodied Adhavan.

His white shirt was soaked in blood. But the devil was busy grilling someone on the phone.

He while talking on the phone went inside the bathroom. Abhidnya followed him with quick steps. He stood in front of the mirror. His phone was placed in between his ear and shoulder, he discarded his white shirt and placed the white towel on his biceps to stop the blood flow.
