Chapter 27

She hesitated to answer when suddenly, she heard a flurry of footsteps heading up the stairs. It was clear that a crowd had come to charge into the Kang home.

She understood the situation and immediately stood up to head into the washroom. She poured the water in her cup into the toilet bowl and washed it clean in the sink.

She then returned to her bed and picked up a handkerchief to press it against hyunsoo's bleeding wound.

Taehyung hurried up the stairs and heard a phone ring from one of the rooms. He immediately brought his bodyguards to kick the door.

With a loud noise, the door was kicked open. Minji stood up in fright. When she saw who it was, she immediately raised her voice in rage. “taehyung, you actually brought so many people to trespass into someone else’s home!”

Taehyung made for a powerful sight as he led a crowd of bodyguards into the room. He saw that hyunsoo's forehead was covered in blood and his complexion was pale, as though he had already stopped breathing.

He immediately felt nervous to the point where his heart began pounding loudly.

For some reason, though he did not interact much with hyunsoo, he was terrified that he would die.

It was as though he would lose someone very important if he died. He couldn’t identify the reason behind the strong sense of uncertainty that had overtaken him.

He quickly approached the bed and shoved minji aside. He checked hyunsoo's breath and noticed that he was still breathing.

He heaved a small sigh of relief and turned to glare at minji harshly. “You tried to murder Director Kang?”

Minji criticised him in rage. “taehyung, you’re full of nonsense. Hyunsoo is my grandfather and my only living relative. How could I possibly murder him?”

“I heard Grandfather shouting very loudly. When I ran in, I saw that someone had smashed a vase against his forehead and was about to stab him with a knife. I was the one who scared him away with my shouts. Minji pointed at the open window. “Look. He escaped through the window. I was the one who saved Grandfather.”

taehyung could not be bothered with his nonsense at the moment. He saw that hyunsoo's wound was still bleeding heavily. He immediately brought out some medicine to stop his bleeding and a bandage. He dipped the bandage into the medicine and pressed it against his wound. It finally stopped bleeding.

Recently, there were always a lot of troubling matters. Thus, he had developed the habit of carrying such medicine with him at all times.

“Immediately send director kang to Asam Hospital!” taehyung commanded his people.

“Yes, Madam.” The bodyguards lifted hyunsoo up to bring him away.

Minji shouted in anger. “Wait a minute, taehyung. What gives you the right to bring my grandfather away? Even if he needs to be sent to the hospital, I should be the one doing it!”

However, she was blocked by a group of bodyguards and could only watch as hyunsoo was carried out of the room.

“Servants, servants!” minji raised her voice.

She did not receive any response. When she headed to the living room on the first floor, she finally noticed a group of servants on the floor. They were covered in bruises and were moaning in pain.

Clearly, taehyung's bodyguards had beaten them up.

The Kang family’s servants naturally did not have the ability to go against the Jeon family’s well-trained bodyguards.
