Dealing in eleven digits profit isn't a big deal to any of the two, but turning this amount of profit to the other will be.

I can go through that? My jaw tightened as I went back to read the last clause of termination.

3. If the contract is terminated under clause (2) then both the parties will be prohibited to work together under any sort of agreement and the existing agreements are to be terminated immediately and effectively the moment this agreement is terminated.

What the fuck? I looked for the document stating how many ongoing deals have been made between the Singhanias and Shekhawats and what impact will the termination of past contracts will come down on us.

There was no information about it on my table yet. I rubbed my temple and picked my intercom up.

"Roy, I need the detailed copies of each agreement that came into effect between Singhanias and this whole Empire. Not one shall be missed." I said and got an alert yes from his end

Well played, dad. Well fucking played.

My eyes unwillingly got a glimpse of her picture once again and I slammed her file close. This contract marriage is going to be shackles of my neck that'll grow tighter each day until I snap. My patience is something I prefer never losing because if I did, the reign of King Ranvijay Singh Shekhawat will crumble.

Shaina Singhania, is much weaker than that of my father's reign, much easier to break and that's the reason she must not be my wife. No one must for that matter. She could win against life but everyone kneels and crumbles before the dark. The strongest ones as well.

This contract must be terminated.

✨✨

Shaina Singhania.

"Do we have guests?" Aryahi's first question caught me off guard and forced me look around leaving my task at hand on hold.

"I think... We have multiple guests." I assumed because our garage was full of black cars which were very expensive, by the way.

"And all of them are rich?" She asked me and I shrugged before I wore her school bag on my left shoulder and lifted her up in my arms

I pick her up from the school, everyday. Today however, I was asked to be on the lunch table and initially I planned otherwise but then I wanted to know how powerful are the people I'm going to stand up against. And boy! They look richer than Donald Duck.

"Bua." Aryahi called me as she leaned back and I tightened my grip around her as I looked at her

"Hmm." I pecked her cheek and rang the doorbell
"I've a parent teacher meeting next Saturday." She informed me and I nodded while a helper opened the door for us

"I'll be there." I assured
"On time?" That question made me look at her offended

"I'm always on time." I defended myself
"I saw that last time." She taunted and I gasped while I climbed the stairs

"I won't be late, happy?" I grumbled and she giggled
"Very." She nodded at me

"Shaina is here." I heard my mother's voice that made me look down in the living room as I stood in the open corridor of the first floor leading to Aryahi's room

I scanned the room and saw two people sitting there and I recognised the man the second our eyes met. Ranvijay Singh Shekhawat. The King of Rajasthan. No wonder there's tight security around our home.

I think you're connected to that family.

Royals.

King.

Crown prince.

A gasp elicited from my throat as reality slapped a challenge on my face. This family wants me to be their daughter in law? The latter queen? Holy mother of Jesus!

Oh! Why didn't I pay heed to what Sid told me? Because I am a fucking moron.

"Come down, Shai." Dad's voice broke me out of regret and I licked my lower lip

"Spare me a minute." I said in a voice loud and confident and strode to the space that hid me from all those eyes on me.

"Is something wrong?" Aryahi asked me and I smiled at her
"Absolutely not." Everything. I let down and she removed her shoes and socks followed by her tie while I fetched her a comfortable pair of clothes and placed them on bed

"Go and freshen up, I'll get your lunch." I told her and she nodded before she hopped her way inside the attached bathroom

"Damn my bad fate! And worse listening skills!" I groaned before I adjusted my red coat and redid my hair to look presentable before I made my way downstairs.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Shekhawat." I greeted him and the two ladies one of whom was my mother with a soft smile and dad prompted me to take a seat

"Good afternoon, young lady. You've grown up beautifully." He greeted back a subtle compliment and I took it with a smile

"You were at work before?" Asked the lady and I glanced down at my work outfit which was a blood red coat and slacks paired with a white shirt and heels.

"Yes." I answered her
"Must have to go back." She looked like she was in her mid fifties or something asserted, the look in her eyes told me that she hated the idea of me. Kalki Singh Shekhawat, the woman you must not cross.

"Indeed but I've promised my niece a lunch." I looked at her in the eye and she didn't blink away as if her intentions were to intimidate me and I smirked. Her intentions are to intimidate me.

"And I don't break promises, Mrs. Shekhawat." I broke the eyelock with that, my eyes fell on my father who looked nowhere pleased with my departure.

"Your highness." Kalki Shekhawat's voice caught all of us off guard and I looked at her who had her eyes fixed on me

"It's, your highness for you." Her distaste for me was evident and now confirmed. I adjusted my coat in a lazy move before I looked back her

"I'm not entitled to address you in any such way, Mrs. Kalki Shekhawat." It was intentional and I made sure to emphasize her name into letting her know that I give zero fucks in what she says, her rule is in Rajasthan and I might've gotten fairly punished there but we're not in her land. She's in my house, sitting in my couch.

"I would like to take your leave." I addressed the other two and I noticed Ranvijay Shekhawat's hand on his wife's as he wanted to stop her from speaking furthermore. How sweet. Did you note the sarcasm?

"I wanted to talk to you, Shaina." He spoke and I nodded
"Tell me." The air in the room thickened and mom stood before me in a hasty move like a wall between us. But she was shorter than me so it didn't hide much of me.

"Aryahi is waiting for her, why can't we not do this later?" Her voice held the urgency and I sighed. I'm not a five year old to not know what was coming in my way but it felt better this way. I felt better to know that this room wasn't lingering with uncomfortable strangeness I felt deep within myself

"That's right." My father spoke and my head snapped in his direction out of utter shock. He... Ok?

"You may continue, Shaina." Dad told me and I nodded before I took a step back. He doesn't want this to happen? I felt touched by his subtle gesture.

I never expected my father to stand up against anything that benefits him but today, he did. For me!
