Bonny gave a shrug, his eyes dropping as he looked at Snape. "Well,  Professor,  it's clear those words weren't nothing, even if you don't want to admit it. And giving your, you know, expertise and all, I can't help but think you might have some insight to share."

Snape's lips thinned, his expression unreadable. "I can assure you, my 'expertise' in this matter is limited. The girl's. . . .abilities, as you put it, are not something as important to you." Snape's eyes narrowed to piercing slits as he glared at Bonny, "Unless it directly impacts your studies or the safety of this institution, I suggest you keep your nose out of matters that do not concern you," her snarled. "Now,  get out of my sight before I dock points from your House for your impertinence."

"Oh, please," Bonny chuckled, his hand fisting to his mouth in a poor attempt to hide it. "Like you ever do anything to your precious house."

Snape's face twice in a look of pure fury, his nostrils flaring. "Out," he growled, pointing a bony finger towards the door as it flew own with a resounding crack. "Now." he demanded, his voice lowering.

Laken, who had been quietly observing the exchange from the corner, looked back and forth between Snape and Bonny, wondering if she was to spy on the boy every time she came across him. The two turned to Lakens straight figure, making them froze in place. Bonny looked at her with a smile. A smile? After everything he had done to prove himself as a stalker?.

"Now,' Snape's lip curled in a derisive sneer, his eyes turning away to Bonny "I have a student waiting at my doorstep," he hissed, "So if you don't mind. Get out."

Bonny nodded thoughtfully, but the gesture looked more like a mocking gesture to Laken's eyes. "You know, Uncle," Bonny walked away towards the door before turning around "You might as well get a Pensieve like Dumbledore so you wouldn't forget, since you have so much to yourself." He stepped away, his eye smiling at Laken before he noticed the book she was holding.

He looked back at Snape, a smile creeping up. "Oh, Look!. It's a book about you—"

"Out!" Snape roared, the force of his voice making the boy recoil and slip through the door instantly.

Well, that was quite dramatic. Looking back, Laken didn't think much about the relationship between Snape and Bonny, not when they both looked as if they were completely blank in mind.

"I hope you don't intend to stand there all day," Snape's expression softened ever so slightly as is gaze settled on Laken, his voice low and even.
Laken hesitant for only a moment before stepping into the dimly lit classroom, her eyes darting around the room, taking in the rows of jars filled with various picked specimens and the towering shelves of ancient-looking books. Snape watched her carefully, his brow furrowed as he waited for her to speak. "So," he began, his tone clipped, "What exactly do you know about our upcoming lessons."

Laken remained steady and unflinching as she met Snape's piercing stare. "Well, if I had to guess, I'd say it's likely to be about Occlumency and Legilimency,"

Snape's eyebrows rose slightly, a hint of surprise flashing across his features. He moved to sit behind his desk, "Define those terms, if you will."

Laken nodded, "Well, Occlumency is the defensive branch of magic that allows the practitioner to shield their mind from external magical intrusion, such as Legilimency. It involves the creation of mental barriers and the discipline to maintain them, effectively preventing others from accessing one's thoughts and memories." Snape nodded throughly as she continued.

"Legilimency, on the other hand, is the offensive counterpart to Occlumency," Laken continued, her voice calm and steady. "It is the ability to extract information from another person's mind, allowing the Legilimens to see the targets thoughts, memories, and skill and concentration to effectively penetrate the mental defense of an Occlumens."
