"Okay po."
I wore my sunglasses and cap to disguise. Baka may makakilala pa sa 'kin. Lumabas ako from the car and malakas na sinara ang pinto. I went inside the mall but after a few minutes, lumabas na rin ako.
I shrugged when the weather changed. Summer officially started a week ago. The sky is getting gray and a lot of birds are flying away to one direction, east. Honestly, rain in summer is the worst.
Lalo lang umiinit ang panahon at ang humid, sobrang lala. I hate it the most. I ran towards the back of the mall. I breathed out, relieved, as there's no security here. It's weird if someone catches me snooping around.
Nang marating ko na ang likod ng mall, I saw him. He's picking up some boxes from the floor. Wow, I'm amazed, he's really a hardworking guy. Despite having a Sugar Mommy, he's still working so hard. Hindi pa ba sapat ang kaniyang income?
"Hey," tawag ko sa kaniya.
He stopped midway from picking up the boxes. From where I stood, approximately thirty inches from him, I saw a small bruise on his left cheek. He's still on this gang thingy?
He stared at me blankly, then stood up straight. His hands are now inside the pocket of his pants.
"I need something from you." I crossed my arms on my chest. "You can't say no."
I showed my sweetest smile. Come on, a lot of people fall for it.
"No."
I feel like lightning struck at me, even though I haven't experienced it at all.
"Let's see then," panghahamon ko sa kaniya. "I have your secret and what if I spread it to the whole school, Sugar Baby?"
He's staring at me, clueless. Wow, he's good din pala umarte.
"Pinagsasabi mo riyan? Wala akong panahon sa 'yo."
"Come on, loosen up," but to be honest, I'm losing my cool here. "I just need you to introduce me to your client."
"Has someone told you that you're a bummer?"
I shook my head, "No one, no one dares. I'm a Morgan."
He's the first person who called me that word. Mostly, I received bitch, brat, or stupid. Another word that I can add to describe myself.
"And?"
I can feel my right eye twitching. Am I mad? That's one of the signs. I want to pull his damn hair.
"Fuck," I whispered under my breath. "Look, I'm doing you a favor here. If you introduce me to your client, Madam Eula, I will keep your secret."
"Madam Eula?"
Yes, moron! Your Sugar Mommy!
"U-huh. The renowned fashion designer, locally and internationally.
"Ano mayroon sa kaniya? Magpa-schedule ka ng appointment para ma-meet mo siya." Bumalik ito sa pagbubuhat ng boxes. I can sense he's pissing me off. Good job to him, I'm now pissed. "Like you've said, you're a Morgan, I'm certain she wants to meet you."
I showed him my smirk, now he's getting my point.
"Maybe in two months or a year," my smirk faded and he grinned.
Mas lalo uminit ang ulo ko, "What..."
A small droplet of water from above is slowly falling, it's starting to drizzle.
"Do you have an umbrella?" he asked.
Hindi ako umimik at tiningnan ko lang siya nang masama but I know he can't see it. I'm still wearing my eyeglasses.
"Shut up," I whispered. How can he refuse me?
Can't he see that I'm forming a connection between us? He can use me in the future as long as he lets me use him in the present. I have no intention to leak his secret. I'm not that fucking bitch... so why? I felt betrayed for the first time again.
"Here," he gently grabbed my wrist and opened my palm.
I didn't realize that my hands were forming into a fist. It's his fault!
"You can use mine."
I have no choice but to accept it. I don't know how long I stood there but I heard his voice again.
He's looking back at me, "Madam Eula is not my client. She's my biological grandmother."
He smiled, not a smirk or grin. A genuine smile... for me. When was the last time I saw one? I can't remember. No one ever smiled at me like that, why the fuck he did that?
I heard him saying something but it was fading, "... wish, it will come true."
