"gawd he wouldn't stop barking, it's like he hears everything" leah groaned.
"he does" milo hissed. "that's why he's a good friend to sleep with."
"who's a good friend?" sebastian suddenly comes in, grabbing a waffle from milo's plate.
"alright these are mine" he argues.
"i just talked to the teacher, we have to be down there at 12:30."
"why are we up then? it's barely 9!" sebastian says. "you lied."
"yeah because how else was i gonna get you up? atleast you have waffles" leah argued back.
the door opens from the other room, and jimena and nathan walk through the communicating door.
"hi goodmorni- waffles!" jimena grinned, grabbing a waffle from MILO'S plate.
"alright, y'all can have them. i quit!" he shouted, getting up from the table.
WE GOT DOWN THE bus we were all stunned with the big and beautiful cathedral infront of us. after all the students got off the bus, we walked through the side of the church and into a room where more schools were inside. it was to sign in and register, so it was really crowded.
"okay, counselors, volunteers; stay put here. i'm gonna sign in and get papers" mr.garcia says.
maria and leah count heads, while me and other counselors made sure no one left the group.
"wait where's lyn?" i wonder.
"here!" she spoke. "i had forgot my music binder in the bus. or how else was i suppose to play for you guys?" she laughs.
lyn cho. she was a student piano player, very talented. she's also someone i'll miss when she graduates this year.
"i don't wanna mess up, well; i don't think i ever messed up" she thought. "but it's my last year, need to make the best of this trip" she smiled.
"you're gonna do great lyn. you never failed us" i smile.
"okay everyone, listen up" mr.garcia spoke, as he came back from registration. "we're gonna leave our stuff in one of the practice rooms here, then come back out here. we perform in an hour, so we have plenty of time to warm up. but the last 20minutes before we go out the chapel next door, lyn is gonna go over the most important parts and then, hope for the best performance. alright? let's go" he signed.
one hour later, we were ready for the performance. the boys went inside the chapel and sat down with others who were watching. my nerves haven't gone away, instead they grew.
"okay" the teacher whispered. "binders on your left hand, and no talking. remember what we do back home, this is professional time."
we all stood in a line and watched as lyn and mr.garcia walked out first. then the first person in line nods as the teacher gives the cue to walk out.
the music we chose to sing was by eric whitacre. all 9 songs, were composed by him. it's a challenge, his music is hard to catch up but it's a beautiful sound of music. my nerves went away within the 2nd song, and for my solo, i did well. it was scary but i had to learn to get over my fear.
