Pantala a continent almost as large as Pyrrhia. It were home to less vary types of dragon tribes. once long ago the continent had four distinct tribes each different from one another,
the highly organized hivewings. who's great hives still stood to this day. and remained as the dominant tribe on the continent,
The beautiful and creative silkwings. who's eye for detail in arts were beyond any other dragon tribe on the continent. their silk used to make magnificent pieces of art,
The crafty and nature attuned leafwings. their masterful expertise over plants and nature. their leafspeak an ability to truly see to be believed,
And lastly the mighty beetlewings a tribe that is now extinct. but while they were around the beetlewings were the strongest of the tribes. and the forefathers of the silkwings and hivewings. the tribe were extremely effective fighter and hunter,
In present day silkwings lived among hivewings. beetlewings were extinct and leafwings lived isolated in their jungle. leading us to two silkwings a brother and a sister,
The morning sun. a golden orb peeking over the horizon. cast a warm glow on the bustling hive. Strider. a vibrant silkwing whose scales shimmered with the colors of dawn and dusk. stirred from his sleep. His gaze drifted towards his little sister. Silksong a silver-colored silkwing with nascent wingbuds. who lay peacefully in their shared silken web.
The news had been announced a few days ago: Silksong was about to undergo metamorphosis. the thrilling yet daunting process that would grant her wings. Strider. having already emerged from his own transformative cocoon. knew exactly what to expect. Yet despite his own successful metamorphosis. he couldn't help but feel a knot of anxiety in his chest. He was after all. a doting brother. and the thought of Silksong going through such a monumental change filled him with a primal protective instinct.
Silksong. oblivious to her brother's apprehension. woke with a happy sigh. She stretched her small limbs. her wingbuds twitching excitedly. "Morning, Strider!" she exclaimed. her voice full of youthful exuberance. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation as she gazed at her burgeoning wings.
Strider smiled, his own anxieties momentarily forgotten. Silksong's enthusiasm was infectious. She yearned to soar through the sky. to join Strider and his mate, Mystic,
Mystic. a breathtaking ocean blue and green silkwing with wings of varying shades of cerulean. slept in a separate web. nestled with her family. Yet, they were close enough for Strider to catch a glimpse of her graceful form. Mystic had become Strider's world. his soulmate. his partner in building and in life. They had met during a shared repair assignment. a chance encounter that had blossomed into a love story. that felt as natural and inevitable as the sunrise.
Silksong energetically climb on Strider's back. looking over his shoulder witnessing his loving gaze traced on Mystic and just chuckle at him,
"You love her don't you?" she said in a teasing manner. as Strider give a laugh "my when did you become a detective sis?" Strider said jokingly. as she stuck her tongue out at him,
"But yes silky. I do Mystic is my one true dragon love. and no matter what the hivewings says. I'll not be with any other mate besides her." Strider said his words passionate like a fire. and Silksong did agreed. "I wouldn't mind having Mystic as my big sister. besides hivewing's rules are dumb. why do we need to follow them? they have made fun of my wing buds before!" Silksong said as strider pick her up and put her in front of him,
"Well Silksong. if we don't go by the rules they'll sent us to misbehaver's way. we gotta stay away from there as much as possible." Strider told her his tone serious. and Silksong nodded understanding the gravity of what he was saying. but also tried to cheer him up by booping his snout. and the both laughed,
