8--Catch Him👀

"Lylah, calm down, my doll... Don't panick.. Tell me whatever you just saw. H....how was she looking like... " He asks her, while rubbing her back to calm her down.

"Eleanor.. She was looking like Eleanor.. Her eyes..those were so similar.... "

As soon as he hears those words, he feels chill running down his spine.

"She came back...she really came back.... " Words came out of his mouth on their own.

Lylah looks at him, with confusion. But his gaze was fixed in front of them, at that same place from where that woman just disappeared.

"W.. Who.. Father. Who are you talking about? " Lylah questions.

"Lylah, go to your room. Now." He orders and with that walks away from there in hurry.

"I have to talk to Corien.. "

Lylah just stares at his back while he exits the garden. She just stands there until he's gone. And with that she too departs to her room. She was still so caught up in her thoughts that she ignored every other noise. But as soon as she reaches inside her room, she catches someone's reflection at the window.

A fear creeps inside her.

But What if she returned...

She quickly picks up the knife from her table and moves toward the window. As soon as she reaches near it, someone tries to peek from outside.

"Aaaaaahhhhh..... " She quickly attacks with the knife on that person.

"Ouch.... Lylah...stop it's me, Zarek.... "
He quickly grips her hand. She gets startled by his sudden appearance. She wasn't expecting him there, at all.

"I literally saved you from so many men out there and here you're trying to kill me.. Tch tch tch.. " He continues, while putting his one hand on his chest, like it's hurting there.

"What in the name of God, are you doing here? If anybody sees you with me right now, you'll be dead." She quickly says.

Zarek glares at the knife in her hand. She quickly pulls it back. He looks at her, a smile settling on his face.

"You still don't know anything about my powers. Wanna bet... Who's gonna die today.. " He jokingly asks her.

"Stupid... Get over yourself.. " She replies. "But still, what are you doing here.. " She asks.

"Came to return something to their rightful owner." He replies, while pulling something out of his pocket.

At first she gets confused but as soon as her eyes falls on his hand, she quickly understands what he meant.

Zarek was holding the pendant she got as a gift from Eleanor, while smiling at her.

"I remember you were wearing something like this, so I came here to check if it was yours or not.. " He finishes.

"Ohh... Wait so you were noticing.." She quickly adds"I mean you remember what I was wearing.. " This time she tried to tease him.

"Ummm... Noooo... I was not checking you out, it's uuhhhh it's just... I have sharp memory..." Zarek gets a bit surprised by her question. He quickly tries to answer but till then his cheeks were already pink.

"Yeah yeah yeah... I totally believe you... " She chuckles.

"Oh come on now... I just came here to return you your necklace Or whatever and here you are teasing me... If you don't want it I can keep it, you know... " He says while pouting.
