She's lying but not next to me

Flo walked back to her room downstairs with the bar of chocolate in her hand.. ''See ya Beca..''

''Bye..''

And then I was alone again.. I lied down and tried to catch some sleep, but the couch didn't work either.. I felt so alone.. I was worrying too much about Chloe.. Maybe she was forever done with me or she doesn't want to see me again or..

My eyes were becoming heavier.. Finally I was about to sleep.. But then I heard someone on the stairs.. I immediately woke up..

It was too dark to see who it was.. I heard she walked to the kitchen and she tried to find the light.. But she couldn't find it.. Then she opened the fridge.. ''Ugh there is nothing in here..''

I knew that voice..

She turned around and just stared at me.. The fridge light made it possible for her to identify me..

She couldn't say anything, she just kept looking at me..

''H- hi..'' I said.

I didn't get a hi back..

She leaned her hands on the kitchen counter..

''What are you doing here?'' she asked me.

''Oh uhm.. I couldn't sleep so..''

It was so awkward.. I didn't know what to say..

''What are you doing here?'' I asked.

''I'm going back to my room..'' She closed the fridge and quickly walked away..

''Wait!''

The sun was slowly rising.. I could see her better now..

She looked so.. Different.. It was weird.. I think I really damaged our relationship..

She turned around and shrugged.. ''What?''

She clearly didn't want to talk to me.. Even though she was a little far away I could see the anger in her eyes..

I stood up.. ''C- can we just talk?''

When I walked closer to her she stepped back.. It felt so bad, I didn't know what to do anymore..

''Chloe why are you stepping away from me?'' I asked.

She crossed her arms and sighed.. ''Because I don't want to talk to you right now..''

Then something absolutely ridiculous came out of my mouth..

''We agreed about saying I London you instead of I love you remember?''

I shouldn't have said that cause I saw Chloe was about to explode..

''Well you couldn't even say that!''

I walked closer..

''Chloe just come to my bedroom to talk about it..''

I stepped closer and again, she looked away from me and took a step behind..

''Chloe, please.. I really love you I swear it's just-''

I walked up to her..

She shook her head..

''You fucking liar..''

The more and more I stepped closer to her the more and more she stepped away.. Then she ran up the stairs and I followed her to her room.. I was able to grab her arm before she entered her room.. But she shook my hand away and threw the door in my face..

''Chloe open up the door!''

I heard her standing behind the door crying and I wanted to reassure her, but I didn't want her to hate me more than she already did..

''Chloe..'' I started to cry at this point..

I heard nothing anymore..

I put my hand on the doorknob.. I hesitated..

But I didn't open the door..

I couldn't...

So I went back to my room..

Chloe's POV

I was broken..

She wanted to talk about it but I couldn't look at her anymore.. I was way too mad.. I sat on the floor in front of my door, thinking about what to do..

I love her so much..

But I just don't understand why she denied our relationship and now she's making me confused.. It's like I can't trust her anymore..

I know she was bullied in school, but it just hurts me so much.. And there was also nothing to deny.. We got exposed.. It's not like we were gonna hide it forever and Beca knows that..

So is it because she doesn't love me or something?

I didn't want to think about it anymore, cause it made me sick.. I was about to throw up..

I went back to bed, where I watched a movie under the sheets.. I felt safe there.. But it was still weird to be alone, cause since that night I've slept together with Beca every night..

I just wanted a distraction.. Today I will go shopping or something on my own or with somebody other than Beca.. Then go out and..

Well I didn't want to cheat on her.. I still love her.. I just..

Hate her for doing that to me..

The sun was already up..

But I wanted to lie down again.
