[Rose nods in agreement]

[Outside back in Diagon Alley, Rose and Hagrid are walking through the street. Rose has bought most of her equipment, and is reading her list.]

Rose: I still need... a wand.

Hagrid: A wand? Well, yeh'll want Ollivanders. [he points to the store] There ain't no place better. Why don't you run along there and wait. I just got one more thing I got to do. Won't be long.

[Rose goes into the store, quietly. She looks around. There are shelves of wands in boxes, but no people.]

"Oh, this is very fun pup," barked Sirius "always wanted to go with you but I never got the chance, so this is the next best thing."

Rose grinned at her godfather softly, they both had big soft spots for one another.

Rose: [Softly] Hello? Hello?

[Then, a noise came from the back, and a man appears on a ladder and looks at Rose. The man is Ollivander and he smiles.]

Ollivander: I wondered when I'd be seeing you, Ms. Potter. It seems only yesterday that your mother and father were in here buying their first wands. [Picks a wand] Ah. Here we are. [Rose holds it, but does nothing] Well, give it a wave. [Rose is hesitant, but waves. This causes most of the boxes to come flying out and crashing down. Rose jumps and hurriedly puts the wand back on the counter.]

Many people grinned at her startled expression.

Apparently not. [Ollivander gets another wand from a box.] Perhaps this. [Rose waves at a vase, which shatters, startling Rose.] No, no, definitely not! No matter. [gets a wand from a box but stops and becomes thoughtful] I wonder... [Ollivander hands the wand to Rose. No sooner after he touched it, Rose suddenly glows under it, blowing her hair up and several of the paperwork in the background. Ollivander looked a bit surprised and deep in thought.] Curious. Very curious.

"What's curious?" Asked Percy Weasley.

"The movies will tell you, but you need to be quiet." Said Arthur.

Rose: Sorry, but what's curious?

Ollivander: [examining the wand he gave to Rose] I remember every wand I've ever sold, Ms. Potter. It just so happens that the phoenix, whose tail feather resides in your wand gave another feather, just one other. It is curious that you should be destined for this wand when its brother gave you that scar. [Points to the lighting bolt scar on Rose's forehead]

Many people gasped, connecting the dots as they stared at Rose who looked emotionless.

Rose: And who owned that wand?

Ollivander: We do not speak his name. The wand chooses the wizard, Ms. Potter. It's not always clear why. But I think it is clear that we can expect great things from you. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things. Terrible, yes, but great. [he hands Rose back her wand.

"Did he just compliment you-know-who?!" A young Gryffindor enquired.

"No," another student replied.

"Yes, I think he just praised his magic. I mean I hate him, but you can't help but deny that his art in magic is astonishing" shrugged Rose, earning a few gaps of disbelief.
