Kunai Beats Shuriken (K/DA Akali x Male Reader)

E13: Fog

Upon waking up, I realized Akali fell asleep on me. She's sniffing and inhaling sharply. Further inspection leads me to believe she's having a form of nightmare as I begin to see tears. I try my best to wake her up without startling her. Startling her has never ended well for anyone in her path.

Y/N: Food's here... I got it... mmmph...

I grunt and strain as I get up. I walked to the door in a tired haze, and for security measures, I grabbed a kunai out of Akali's jacket before getting up. I open the door, and the delivery boy is already gone. I remember the days when they'd hand you the food... hmmm...

For some reason, I had the scenario in my head that they wouldn't give me the food, and I'd have to demoralize and threaten the delivery boy to hand it over. I wonder if my energy is getting pent up since I'm not fighting. Come to think of it, I don't think I can go a day without conflict.

What I did with Akali last night was... very enjoyable, not something I can feel very often. I can only grin when I'm laughing or triumphant, or even acting, but she was able to make me convey a smile out of sheer enjoyment. That's how I know she's a real friend; not many people can do that with me.

I take the food to the dining table, and begin to open packaging, toss bags, spread out napkins, and create a buffet of everything that Akali got in her tired delirium. Bao is the first to join the table, he attempts to steal a muffin right out of my hand. He continues doing it until I am forced to take a bite.

Y/N: <How's it feel to be outsmarted, little bun?>

Bao: Meow...

Bao squints at me, then proceeds to steal two strips of bacon off of one of the platters. When I try to catch him, he dodges my hand, and gets to the end of the stairs before Seraphine catches her.

Sera: *YAWN!* Hello sweety... what's that you got? <Bacon? Who gave you bacon?>

The cat's mother walks over with Bao in her arms. Bao continues chewing on the bacon and making adorable little whimpers as it does so. Sera stops and stares at the feast I prepared using the takeout that Akali got.

Sera: What's all this?

Y/N: Send your regards to Akali... This is all the food she bought in a sleepy haze...

Sera: How'd you sleep?

Y/N: I didn't...

Sera: Oh, well... I'm sorry you couldn't rest here, you could stick around for another day if you want.

Y/N: That's nice, but I don't think that's necessary...

Sera: You sure? Please stay around, I'm sorry about Akali...

Y/N: It wasn't her, it was my fault we got no sleep. I'm sorry for keeping you up, as well, this is a good punishment.

Sera: Punishment? Ugh... Y/N, stop it... What did you guys do last night? I better not have to put those sheets under a blacklight, honey.

Y/N: What? Why is everybody... ugh... whatever... We just played on your PS2 all night long and got no sleep from that... Akali crashed out on the couch, but I think she was having a nightmare.

Sera: Yeah, with Kayn out of her life, I think she's not feeling very safe. I don't know what Kayn helped her with when they were younger, but she can't handle him being out of his life... She's had a nightmare every night. Anyway, what'd you guys play?

Y/N: Oh, nothing much, we just some Shaolin Monks and then-

My phone starts ringing, and in my delirium, I ditch everything to see who decided to call me. Taking out my phone, it's an unknown number. I knew it wasn't a good idea to pick it up, but I was so alert and fried that I picked it up anyway. This just proves I need my sleep, thankfully it was a false alarm...
