I knock on the door and wait for an answer before going in. My father was fastening the last buttons of his shirt in front of the mirror.

"Need help with the tie kid?"

"No, I got that but...can we talk?" I ask and that immediately catches his attention.

"Of course, come in, everything alright?"

"Yes, just...could Leo sit with us during the ceremony?" He looks at me confused, as if it was a stupid question.

"Don't worry, it was already thought of, he is family, we weren't going to leave him sitting anywhere else" He answered.

"Good, that's great actually. About that...What would you think of Leo as a son-in-law?"

"Sienna wouldn't see Leo that way even if he were the last boy on earth" He joked.

"I wasn't talking about Sienna...I love him, I've loved him for quite some time actually "

"Oh...that's...I actually didn't see that one coming"

"Yeah...well now that that's done I'm gonna go tell mum"

"No, wait come here Ethan"

He took one last step towards me and wrapped me in a suffocating hug. His head was resting on my shoulder and I could hear a...sniff?

"Thanks for telling me" He ends up saying before pulling apart, quickly drying the underside of his eyes.

"You're crying?" I ask dumbfounded.

"No, it's...you don't usually talk about these kinds of things and if you talk to someone it's usually your mother, I'm happy that you trust me with this" His hand rested firmly in my shoulder while he gave me a tender look "I'm proud of you, for being brave enough, love is not for the weak"

"Leo is gonna have a field day when I tell him you cried" I try to lighten the mood.

"I've seen that kid cry because we didn't let him have sand when he was a child, I think I'll put up with the teasing" He jokes.

I look at the suit he was wearing, it was custom made and it was noticeable but I can't help but feel a little envious. I've always liked their wedding attires from the original day more and I thought they would wear something similar.

"I liked the suit you wore for your wedding better, why not ask Aline for one similar?" The Swiss has a knack for recreating old outfits, I'm sure she wouldn't have had any problem creating something special for today.

"We wanted something different, all you wearing white, what better than red to stand out?" I nod.

"I kind of see it now, what you and mom talk about all the time, about how you love each other and how great it is and...thank you, for being such a good example"

"Thank you for being the best son I could have ever asked for. I love your mother but there is no more unconditional love than the one I felt for you and your sister from the moment I learned of your existence. And I'm so proud of the man you're becoming, so glad that you're happy"

"I am, I really am"

"Then that's the only thing important"

Sienna's POV

"Stay still for a moment, it's almost done" Aline told me once again after what feels like an eternity trying to tie my dress.

"Do you even know how to tie it?"

"We would have finished sooner if you didn't move so much" She added.

"You have cold hands!" I laughed.

"Stop laughing and stay still, just a second Sienna and you will be free" I do as I'm told and finally I notice how he manages to tie it "That's it, you can stop being a drama queen now"

"How do I look?" I ask her, giving a twirl to show the dress better.

"Absolutely beautiful, you hardly notice your dark circles from staying up so late"

"And how do you know that?" I ask

"I went out to the balcony and saw you, who were you talking to?"

"No one, I was just sleepless" I lie.

"I heard you laugh, what were you laughing at? The moon?"

"Marcus is in Canada so he was the only one of my contacts awake at that time" I confess.

But that was all, from time to time we exchanged some messages, he knows that I am always up late and with the time change it is convenient, catching him awake most of the nights.

"Is that why you are checking your phone all the time? Waiting for him to wake up or what?" She said just as I was about to do it again.

He hasn't answered me all day, okay?

"It's like ten in the morning there and we're on summer break, he must still be sleeping" I justify.

"Yeah, maybe" A knock sounded on the door and I turned my attention to it

"Aren't you going to get it?"

It was Aline's room but I still listened to her, going for the door and opening it without even asking who it was.

"What are you doing here?" I ask surprised to see Marcus on the other side instead of halfway across the world.

"Well someone told me my teammate didn't have a date for a wedding apparently? That couldn't stay like that"

He said leaning on the door frame and giving me a smile.

"It's not a wedding, just some vows renewal, and this wouldn't be a date"

"Well, you in a beautiful dress, me in an expensive suit, us in some French vineyards, what do you call that?" He asked.

"Something dangerous probably"

"Maybe...then it's exactly my kind of date"

"And this is my cue to go, good to see you again Foster" Aline He said before walking out the door.

"Schumacher, always a pleasure, André is downstairs by the way, we came together"

"I'll see you at the ceremony then, take care of her, I know where you live." She threatened.

"You know her?"

"André was my teammate last year, he brought her to a karting session one day, she kicked my ass"

"Why am I not surprised?"

"Come on star, we don't want to be late are we?" He asked, offering me his arm to take.

"I told you not to use it"

"But its cute!"

"Its childish, and strange to hear it coming from you so don't use it"

"Chérie?" Considering the way that simple word has gotten my heartbeat to skip a beat, no, that one definitely not.

"No"

"You're no fun"

"And somehow you still come back to me every time, isn't that strange?" I ask.

"I love a good challenge"
