The alert from Karina's phone took her attention away from him as she checked what it was. "Sorry Y/n. My dad needs to see me at one of our companies. It's not far, I'll be back at the resort soon." She said and turned to leave, but he grabbed her arm and pulled her into him. "I'm not leaving your side until you tell me what's up." He said. "Y/n, I need to go." She said as she tried to walk away, but his grip was too strong. "Why do you care so much?" "Because I don't want to see someone I love be upset!" He quickly responded.

His words shocked her as they echoed through her head. He loved her. Even if he didn't remember last night, he did love her. Without a second thought, she kissed him again and felt him kiss her back. Both of them wanted that kiss to last forever. But fate was not merciful on this day.

Karina's phone had stepped on their moment yet again. She kissed him on the cheek before bidding him goodbye and leaving to go see what her father wanted.

Y/n POV

*knock knock knock*

As I knocked on Lia's door, I thought about what just happened. Me and Karina, we kissed. And I liked it. I loved it, but do I like her that way. Do I love Karina?

I was knocked out of my thoughts when she opened the door. "Y/n? Do you remember me now?" She asked. "Um, when we first starting dating at the bowling alley, you'd purposely pick up heavier balls to use because you didn't like it when I was stronger than you."

"It is you!" She exclaimed before she wrapped me in a hug. "Did it work?" She quickly asked me. "The sentimental idea?" I asked. "No dummy. The kiss." She finished. "How do you know we kissed?" I asked. "So it did work. Come inside, I'll tell you about it." She said as she opened the door for me to come inside. We both sat down in her living room.

"Karina came here yesterday and tried to get me to kiss you, hoping that would break you out of your amnesia. But, I convinced her that she'd be better of doing it if the sentimental idea didn't work. And she texted me that she'd try the kiss because the other plan didn't work. See?" She said as she showed me the texts Karina had sent her. 

"Is that why I woke up shirtless?" I suddenly spoke. When she heard that, she gave the most high pitched squeal I've ever heard from anyone. "Did you two sleep together???" She excitedly asked. "Well, when I woke up, she was awake and told me that she slept in a different bed. But the bed I slept in was large enough for two people, and the other side of it was messed up, as if someone had slept in it." I explained. "So you don't know?" She asked. "I don't even know how I feel right now, which is actually why I came here." I said.

"What happened now?" She asked. "While we were walking back to the resort, she seemed down, like someone killed her dog or something. I asked her about it, but she told me not to worry, but I did worry. Because I didn't want to see her upset. When I pressed her further, she asked why I cared so much and I..." I paused as I finally realized what I had said in the moment. "You what?"

"I told her because I loved her. Then she kissed me."

"You love her??? Wait, she kissed you!!!?" She asked with the biggest smile I'd seen her give. "Yeah, and I don't know how I feel. We've always been friends and I've always cared about her, but I... I don't know if anyone told you, but I had a relationship with this girl, Yuqi. It lasted not even week, she cheated on me." I spoke. "Despite our relationship only lasting a week, it still hurt. I'm not sure if I wanna take that chance so soon." I finished. "Who consoled you?" She asked, but her tone implied that she already knew my answer.

"Karina."

"Exactly. She's your soulmate. No offense, but I know that Yuqi girl. She goes to my school. She's nice, but not the one for you. If Karina's the one who helped you through that, then she's the one. Plus, if you woke up shirtless and the other side of the bed was wrinkled, you two probably did sleep together last night. Which would explain how you have your memories back." She said.

"I..." I tried to speak, but didn't know what to say.

"Listen, Y/n. Whether you realize it or not, the evidence points to you loving Karina. And she clearly loves you, otherwise she wouldn't have kissed you. Peanut Butter, meet Jelly. Now, if you don't go find her and tell her how much you love her, I'll make sure you get amnesia again." She said, somehow sounding innocent and threatening at the same time.

"Alright! I'm gonna do it!" I said as I stood up and walked over to the door. Before opening the door, I kissed Lia on the cheek and thanked her before running off to find Karina.

Karina POV

My whole world had come crashing down. Standing before me was my dad, Huening Kai, and both of his parents. And I had just been informed that me and Kai were perfect, apparently.

"Dad, this is insane!" I said, hoping he would hear me out. "But, sweetie, it's perfect. You both are already close since you met as children. You're both the recipients to both of our respective companies. If you two marry, not only would both our companies merge, resulting in millions of dollars, but you two dating would be national news. Breaking headlines! I can see it now: Yu Jimin and Huening Kai, The World's Greatest Power Couple." He rambled.

"You've gotta admit, this is a pretty good deal." Kai said as he stood next to me. "Dad, please." I pleaded. "Why are you against this anyway? Aren't you dating?" He spoke. "I'm against this because I already like... no. I love someone else." I said. 

"That Y/n right? Kai already told us about him. He can't protect you. I heard he was assaulted by one random guy at the mall and was out for days." Kai's mother suddenly spoke.

"And one of my friends who lives here told me about the girls he likes. He dated that Yuqi chick. She's out here more than prostitute. They dated for not even a week. Plus, he got shot and hospitalized. His fighting skills are equal to that of a toddler. You want him?" Kai spoke. 

"I won't allow it! Starting now, you are dating my son and you two will marry once you come of age!" Kai's father said.

Before I could say another word, Kai grabbed me and forced himself onto me. As much as I wanted to fight him off, he had his arms around mine and I couldn't really move them. Unfortunately, I'd have to wait this one out.

When he finally pulled away, my father started to clap proudly at what he'd seen. Meanwhile, I was trying my best not to throw up. I glanced at my left and saw the last person I wanted to see this.

It was Y/n. And his face said it all. He'd heard everything and he'd definitely seen that kiss.

"Ah, Y/n! Hello son! How are your parents?" My father asked as he noticed him. Y/n walked into the room, maintaining eye contact with my dad, probably trying to avoid looking at me. "They're doing great sir. In fact, I think I saw them downstairs talking about working with you again." Y/n said. Despite the pain he probably felt, he was excellent at acting natural. My dad didn't suspect a thing. "Wonderful! Also, could you walk my dear daughter back to that resort you two are staying at. I know she'd be safe with you." He said as he hugged Y/n. "No problem sir. Me and your daughter have always been close friends." He said as he returned the hug.

After Y/n and my father pulled away, my parents and Kai's both left down the elevator. "Y/n I-" "Save it. Let's just go back to the resort already." He said as his tone quickly went from full of joy to full of venom.

"If you don't mind, I'll actually be accompanying you to this resort. Karina is my girlfriend after all." Kai spoke. "Don't push your luck. You're lucky I don't throw you through that window and smile as you plummet to your death." Y/n responded. Kai chuckled, but Y/n quickly grabbed him by the throat and pinned him up against the glass and punched it, causing it to crack. "Y/n!" I called out, hoping to stop him from crossing the point of no return. He scoffed at me before throwing Kai into a desk and turning around.

"Let's go already."
