"Yeah. I know." Hisoka said back. "Probably won't help that I've decided to take on the name Stain."

"I thought you hated him." Mirio said, looking confused. "Why take on his name?"

Hisoka hesitated.

".... The name Stain.... My father...."

She took a breath.

"He wasn't wrong in his ideals. It's true that in today's society, there are a lot of heroes that are only in it for the fame and the money. All for selfish reasons, too. However.... I don't think that killing those heroes was how my father should've gone about it. I understand that by taking on Stain as my hero name, I'm condemning myself to having to change everyone's perspective, and shouldering the feelings of all those who follow or bear resentment towards my father, but.... This is something I need to do."

Mirio smiled. He wasn't to sure at first, but he can tell that Hisoka's confident and holds a strong resolve. The only question is how Sir Nighteye would treat her.... Especially knowing who her father is.

A few moments later, Izuku walked out, letting out a nervous smile towards Hisoka.

"Your turn." He said, taking a seat.

Hisoka walked in, closing the door behind her. As soon as she locked eyes with Sir Nighteye, she had an odd feeling that things wouldn't go as planned.

"Sir." Hisoka greeted.

Sir Nighteye watched her, appearing to study her appearance.

"Why did you come here?" He asked.

"I want to be a hero." Hisoka responded.

"And yet, you took on the hero killer's name. You're the new 'Stain', Chihara."

The teen scowled. Of course. She should've expected this reaction from the hero.

"Well, he was emotionally absent in my life." Hisoka said, letting put a bitter chuckle. "I'd honestly say he did better as my jailer than a father."

Nighteye just stared at her for a moment. He adjusted his glasses, appearing confused on something.

"Why?" He asked.

"Why what?" Hisoka asked back.

"Why do you insist on being a hero? Your mother was a hero, sure, but she still took lives. Your father, a hero killer, and your mother, a villain killer. So, Chihara, what does that make you?"

Hisoka opened and closed her mouth. She.... Hadn't thought about it like that. With everything that had happened with Tenya's kidnapping, the training from the HPSC, One For All, and everything else, she hadn't....

"Have you even taken a moment to process?" The hero then questioned.

Had she? No. She hasn't.

Why not?

After everything that had happened, she.... Why hadn't she stopped for a moment? Why not take the time to process everything?

"No." She responded honestly. "That doesn't matter, through. I have a job to do."

Sir Nighteye sighed, saying "The same stubborn drive as All Might...."

*Later on....*

The moment Hisoka stepped outside, she was swarmed by reporters. She scowled, glaring at the microphones pushed towards her.

It was the same boring questions.... Up until a woman with blue skin approached her.

"Hisoka Akagura! How do you feel about the gift Stain gave you?"

She froze. She whirled, glaring at the woman.

"I'm sorry, what do you mean by 'gift'?" She sneered. "Who the hell are you anyway?"

"Me? I'm no-one. Just someone who's a bit.... Curios."

Hisoka scoffed, saying "My father didn't gift me anything. I only took his name because I needed to."

"Why?" The woman pressed. "I mean, after all, isn't Stain responsible for all those villains and hero deaths? Didn't he try to pass it onto you? It's the name of him that caused do much chaos, and by extension. You yourself-"

Hisoka didn't know why, but she snapped.

"Shut up!" She yelled. "Why do people blame us for all they're little failings? As if I just spend my days, sitting on people's shoulders, forcing them to commit acts they'd otherwise find repulsive- 'Oh, Stain made me do it!' I have never done anything to hurt anyone like that, ever!"

She let out a shuddering breath, glaring.

"This is unjust." She said, scowling. "For all eternity, me and my father's name will be used to represent all your depravity. That is the 'gift' that my father gave me."

She then stormed off, scowling, not noticing when the woman tapped her sleeve.

.... Curious. Very, very curious.
