Dahlia grabbed the shoes and looked at them, just like if she was authenticating them.

"How is it that you don't have a dress, but you have fantastic shoes? These will look perfect," She said placing them down.

"Mom asked if I wanted them a while back. I placed them in my room and never really answered," She said.

"Alright, lets get to work. I'm gonna make sure you look to die for," She said.

Dahlia grabbed her and had her sitting in front of her vanity, but then spun the seat. She placed a hand on Maddie's chin and moved her side to side to see what she was working with.

"Hmmm, I think I have an idea," she said. She grabbed a couple of clips and pinned back Maddie's hair. She then got to work, and while Dahlia looked like she was gonna place a heavy amount of makeup on her, but Maddie barely felt the brushes and sponges.

"Alright, open your eyes," She said. Maddie watched as Dahlia went back and forth checking her work. She then grabbed some lipstick in a bit of a lighter shade and decorated her lips, but gently.

"Beautiful."

"Can I see?"

"Not until I do your hair, thank god its on the shorter side and able to dry a bit quicker," She said. Turning around, she ran a comb through Maddie's hair.

Maddie didn't know what was going on. All she felt was the comb, a curling iron and eventually a clamp. Dahlia came forward and curled the front of her bangs.

"Now the finishing touches," Dahlia said. She started to paint Maddies nails silver, when they where dry, she helped Maddie into her shoes.

When Maddie stood up, she was only slightly shorter than Dahlia now. Dahlia grabbed the necklace and walked around and placed it around her neck. When she finished clasping it, she walked around the front and adjusted it. Stepping back she looked at her.

"Fantastic," She said. She moved to the side and allowed Maddie to glympse at herself in the full length mirror. The dress was accentuated a little bit more so with the shoes, her nails, and when she trailed up her body and the dress, she stopped right at the neckline to see the necklace. It sparkled and shone, her green eyes where accentuated by the blue of the necklace, which she found a bit odd, but it worked.

Her makeup was light but just dark enough to tell that she had some on. Turning her head, she saw the clamp in it. It looked like a butterfly wing that was a silverywhite.

She loved it and how her hair was positioned. Turning back around, she looked to Dahlia and felt even more giddy than earlier. She looked like an actual princess, now all that was left was to get to the castle, she just hoped that Kyle's family would be ok with her.
.....................................................................................

Kyle watched as the final touches where applied. Due to the last party happening not that long beforehand, most of the stuff was still out. He kept watching as people started to arrive and get ready.

He was still waiting for his mate though. In they piled, Lords and their daughters, old friends of his parents, everyone who could be there was practically there.

Kyle watched as his parents descended the stairs and greeted everyone. Kyle stayed to the side, his mother noticed his grim expression.

"Your Highness, I wanted to meet your mate," Lord Dresden said with a bit of a sneer. Marissa was right next to him in a red dress, her hair pinned up and a few curls falling throughout. Kyle kept watching the door way, just hoping that she didn't get cold feet.

"The night is still young Lord Dresden," His mother said. he walked off to the side.

"I never liked that man," she said. He smiled and continued to look.

He turned around, and just as he did, a few gasps could be heard. He felt his mother whip him around and when he looked up, there Maddie was.

His heart rate sped up, she looked breathtaking, and she was wearing his families necklace.

Maddie stayed at the top of the steps, she didn't know where to go, or what to do. Everyone was just looking at her. She looked down at the bottom of the steps and saw Kyle running up to greet her. The smile on his face was more than she could bear. She couldn't help her the smile she was giving him.

He reached out and grasped her hand delicatly before placing a kiss on it. She curtsied and bowed her head. Leading her down the steps, he made sure he wasn't going too fast. He watched as she gracefully descended the steps, much like she had done this plenty of times before.

When they reached the bottom, he lead her to his parents where where both seated now.

Maddie could feel her anxiety pick up and her palm get sweaty, but when she felt Kyle rub his thumb against her hand, she couldn't help but smile.

"Here we go..."
