Unexpected Painful news

Back in the living room, Anurag, Devika, and Samar stood in stunned silence. The woman they had admired for her strength, who had held her family together for so many years, was now completely broken.

Anupamaa sobbed uncontrollably in Samar's room, her heart heavy with all the grief, betrayal, and exhaustion she had endured for so long. The room that had once been a sanctuary now felt like a prison, suffocating her with the weight of her broken life. But after what felt like hours, the house grew eerily quiet. The sound of her sobbing was no longer heard, and the silence became deafening.

Samar, Anurag, and Devika stood outside the door, growing more and more anxious. Samar was the first to knock, softly at first, then louder, but there was no response. His heart sank with fear, and he began banging on the door, panic flooding his voice. "Mummy! Mummy, please open the door!" Anurag and Devika quickly joined in, calling out for Anupamaa, but there was no sound from inside.

They knew something was terribly wrong. Anurag, in a rush of adrenaline, threw his shoulder against the door. With a loud crash, they broke it open. But as they entered the room, their worst fear was realized—Anupamaa was gone. The window was wide open, and it was clear she had left a long time ago.

Panic swept through the house as they raced out, calling her name, running through the streets in search of her. Anupamaa had been walking aimlessly, not knowing where she was headed. Her feet were sore and blistered from the long journey, her mind consumed with the unbearable pain she had tried so hard to suppress.

She had walked nearly five kilometers, her body weakening with every step, but she didn't care. She didn't want to go back, not to the house that had become a place of torment and anguish. Her heart was numb, her soul shattered, and her mind clouded by exhaustion and despair.

Anurag, driven by an overwhelming sense of dread, searched every corner of the area. His heart raced, something in his gut told him that Anupamaa was in danger. Suddenly, in the distance, he saw her. His heart stopped for a moment as he saw Anupamaa lying in the middle of the road, her body barely moving, dangerously close to an oncoming truck.

"Mummy!" Anurag screamed, his voice cracking with terror. Without thinking, he ran toward her as fast as he could. His vision blurred with panic, his only thought was to reach her in time. The truck's horn blared, and just as it was about to hit her, Anurag lunged forward, grabbing Anupamaa and pulling her out of harm's way.

They fell hard on the ground, and Anupamaa lay in his arms, unconscious, her face pale and her body limp. Anurag shook her gently, his hands trembling, tears streaming down his face. "Mummy, please wake up. Mummy, please..." His voice was a desperate whisper, but Anupamaa didn't respond.

Samar and Devika caught up moments later, their faces stricken with fear as they saw Anupamaa lying motionless. Samar's heart dropped. "Mummy!" he cried, but she didn't stir. They had no time to waste.

Samar frantically searched for a hospital, but there was none nearby. The only place with medical facilities was a wellness resort not too far away. With no other option, they carried Anupamaa there, praying they weren't too late.

When they arrived at the resort, the staff immediately called for a doctor, and they were introduced to Dr. Adwaith, a neurologist who was on duty. He examined Anupamaa, and after a while, Anurag, Samar, and Devika anxiously waited to hear his prognosis.

Dr. Adwaith came out, his face serious but calm. "She is suffering from extreme mental stress and anxiety," he explained. "Her body has been weakened by the emotional turmoil she's been going through. This isn't something that can be cured with medicine alone. Her happiness and emotional wellbeing are the only things that can truly heal her. She needs support, love, and peace around her."

Samar's anger boiled over. The pain and frustration he had been holding inside erupted as he turned towards Mr. Shah, who had just arrived with Toshu and Kinjal. "Look at what you've done to my mummy!" he shouted, his voice filled with raw emotion. "She's suffering because of you! The mental stress, the anxiety, it's all because of YOU. If anything happens to her, I swear, you won't be spared!" His words were filled with rage, and for the first time, Samar didn't hesitate to blame his father directly.

Anurag, meanwhile, stayed focused on Anupamaa's health. Ignoring the tension around him, he turned to Dr. Adwaith again, his voice full of concern. "Doctor, I think we need a full body checkup for her," he said quietly. "She hasn't been taking care of herself, and we don't know what she's been going through, either physically or mentally. Please, I want to know everything."

Dr. Adwaith agreed, but Vanraj, clearly frustrated and ashamed, snapped at Anurag. "Aur paise kahan se aayenge?" he said bitterly, knowing his financial situation was dire. "You're talking about hospital bills, full checkups—I don't have that kind of money anymore!"

Anurag didn't hesitate. "I'll pay for everything," he said, his voice unwavering. "Mummy's health is more important than anything else, and I'll take care of it." His words silenced Vanraj, who had no choice but to step aside.

Hours passed, and finally, Dr. Adwaith came back with the test results. His face was somber, and the room went silent as he spoke. "I'm afraid I have some very serious news." He paused for a moment, the weight of his words hanging in the air. "Anupamaa is suffering from cancer. The condition is critical, and we will need to operate as soon as possible. It's a life-or-death situation."

The room seemed to freeze in time. Anurag's heart dropped, and he struggled to breathe for a moment. Cancer? How could this be happening? But there was no time to waste. "We'll go ahead with the surgery," he said, his voice steady but filled with pain. "I'll pay for everything. But first, we need Mummy's consent. She needs to know..."

Anurag's voice trailed off as the weight of the situation crushed him. The life of the woman who had held their family together for so long now hung in the balance, and they could only pray that they were not too late. Samar just couldn't stop crying.
