the sweet smell of the cookies made you sigh in content. tweek twitched nervously at your unreadable expression.

"too much pressure!" he tugged on his hair. you laughed and placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him, "thank you for the cookies, tweek! i'll make sure to share with my family."

tweek let out a small, yet loud noise in response and his face flushed at the physical contact.

"ah, right, tolkien." you turned to the said male, "how's you and nichole?" you wiggled your brows in a teasing manner.

tolkien's lips twitched upwards at the mention of nichole and you laughed at his embarrassed expression.

"i'm just teasing."

you wanted to talk more with them, but because liane was calling for you like a crazy women, you had to excuse yourself.

"[y/n]! my baby! you did amazing!" liane wrapped you in her arms, trapping you in a bear hug. you giggled at the proud tone in her voice and hugged her back.

once you teared yourself away from her, you were surprised to see your father standing beside her. you were honestly expecting him to have been gone by now. but you pushed away those thoughts and your smile widened when your eyes landed on your grandma, who stood on the other side of liane.

with a proud expression, your father pat you on the back. "you sang so well. definitely got my voice too." he cracked a small joke in the end, making you chuckle.

"i'm so proud of you, angel." you grinned at your grandma's words and fought back the tears that threatened to appear, instead looking around, only to end up confused when you find who you were looking for.

"dad? where's mom?" you asked your father with pure confusion and innocent shown in your eyes.

both liane and your father tensed at the innocent yet hurtful question. liane nervously fiddled with her pearl necklace, and you raised a brow at the sudden change in mood.

your father opened his mouth, "look, your mother and i had decided to get a d—"

but you cut him off with a soft giggle leaving your lips, "oh never mind. she's at the desserts section. i forgot how much she loved desserts." you spoke as if you had always had a motherly relationship with her and as if she didn't practically despise you.

your fathers lips tightened into a thin line and his eyes widened, his head snapped to where you were staring and fear filled his stomach. he immediately sprang into action, pulling you towards your grandma.

he and liane exchanged concern glances before turning back to you. "stay here with your grandma okay? me and liane have to discuss something important with your mom real quick."

they both left before you could mutter a word, and you decided to brush it off, thinking they might've had something important to do.

"angel, my dear, isn't that eric?" your grandma spoke up, pointing behind you with her eyes sparkling.

you turned around and there IT was.. standing at the food stations with multiple desserts and sweets on his plates.

"do you want to go talk to him?" you asked her. your smile widened when she nodded eagerly. you carefully locked arms with her and walked her to where your cousin stood.
