This is Reanne. A self-proclaimed lazy bum whose daily routine involves three essential activities: drinking copious amounts of coffee, devouring spicy dark romance books, and loudly complaining about her so-called "miserable life."
Her bookshelf is a shrine to chaos. Titles like Hunting Adeline and The Twisted Series sit front and center, each one filled with enough drama, spice, and morally questionable characters to fuel her obsession.
Reanne doesn't really watch anime or care about anything that requires more effort than turning a page. Books are her world.
Despite her lack of motivation, Reanne somehow survives day to day. How? No one knows. She's not entirely sure herself. But there she is, sprawled out on her worn couch during a rainy evening, legs kicked up as she laughs like a maniac at a particularly outrageous scene in her current read.
The weather outside might be cold, but for Reanne, it's the perfect vibe.
Little does she know, someone-or rather, something-has been watching her for months.
The Devil himself has been silently observing this mess of a human being. Unimpressed would be an understatement. Every day, he listens to her endless complaints about her life, her ever-changing "mottos," and her unwavering loyalty to her spicy book philosophy:
"If it's not spicy, why read it?"
At first, the Devil tried to ignore her, but Reanne's antics grated on him like nails on a chalkboard. She was infuriating. Her life was the epitome of wasted potential, and she didn't even care. Finally, he decided he'd had enough.
One stormy evening, as Reanne giggled over yet another dark and twisted scene, the Devil appeared before her in a burst of shadowy flames.
His towering figure loomed ominously, red eyes glowing like embers, voice deep and raspy as he growled, "YOU PATHETIC MORTAL. YOUR LAZINESS IS AN INSULT TO ALL OF EXISTENCE."
Reanne blinked once. Then twice.
And then... she turned the page of her book.
The Devil's glowing eyes narrowed. Was this girl seriously ignoring him? He cleared his throat, his voice growing even deeper. "I AM THE GREAT DEVIL KING, AND I HAVE COME TO-"
"Can you move? You're blocking the light," Reanne said flatly, her gaze never leaving her book.
The Devil's jaw dropped. For centuries, mortals had trembled before him. Whole kingdoms had fallen at the mere mention of his name. And this girl? She was acting like he was a pesky fly.
His voice boomed louder. "YOU HAVE LIVED LIKE A USELESS MOTHERF-"
"Uh-huh," Reanne muttered, flipping another page. "Can you keep it down? This part's getting good."
That was the final straw. With a snap of his fingers, the Devil cursed her-not with eternal torment, not with hellfire, but with something far worse: an immediate expulsion from her pathetic life.
Before Reanne could even process what was happening, she was flying through the air, thousands of feet above the ground. "OH HELL NAH!" she screamed, flailing wildly. Rain whipped against her face as she cursed out the Devil with every word she could think of.
"I'LL KILL YOU, YOU OVERGROWN FLAMING BAT SON OF A BITCH!"
Her descent was anything but graceful. She hit every branch of a massive tree on the way down, each one slowing her fall with a painful WHACK. Finally, she landed face-first on the ground with a loud THUD.
Groaning, Reanne slowly pushed herself up, mud and leaves sticking to her clothes. "What the actual..." she muttered, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings. Towering trees, lush greenery, and faint voices in the distance.
This wasn't her world anymore.
And for the first time in her lazy life, Reanne was forced to face reality. And then she fell unconscious.
