Cronia woke up the next morning in the keep. the chronicler already awake sitting in front of the tome of time. seemingly searching the pages for something,
Cronia got up on her feet and walk into the main room. "good morning chronicler." Cronia said as he look up from the book. "ah morning to you as well Cronia. you slept well I presume?" The chronicler said as a quill dip itself in ink and wrote in the tome,
"I did. now what's on the schedule for my training? Maybe fighting a bunch of test dummies? or or maybe using my element in new ways I haven't thought possible? Or maybe even—" the chronicler stopped her questions. with holding up a talon to silence her flurry of questions,
"First my young study. you must learn patience your element embodies patience itself." the chronicler told her as Cronia sat down. "yes chronicler I'll try and be more patient. and not let my eagerness get the better of me." Cronia said as the chronicler nodded. it was a good step forward,
"Good let's head below then." the chronicler said as the tome of time shut. and floated back to its pedestal,
"Down? To where?" Cronia asked as she followed the chronicler. out a entrance leading deeper into the keep,
"The celestial caves your new training ground your true teacher." the chronicler said and soon they were in a huge cavern. "wow where to do begin?" Cronia asked as the chronicler smiled. by the sound of wing beats in the distance of the cavern,
A dragon or at least what a appeared to be one was approaching them. landing gracefully next to the chronicler its sleek body gleamed with power of elements. seeming to swift colors slowly and it begin to speak and its voice was female,
"Master welcome home. and I see you brought a new dragon." she said bowing her head to both Cronia and the chronicler. "yes this is Cronia she is my new study. and thought you would be the teacher to start her training." the chronicler said as the dragon scanned over Cronia and nodded. "yes I feel the time element within her master. I shall guide her the best I can." she said as the chronicler nodded. "I leave her in your care then. Cronia I'll see you later." the chronicler said as Cronia nodded and he took his leave. leaving cronia alone with the elemental dragoness,
"The chronicler seems to want me to be your guide through lessons here. at the keep miss cronia. master's word is law to me so I shall abide by his wishes." the elemental dragoness said as Cronia look around and walked with her. through the celestial caves to what would be her first task,
"I'm Astra by the way. I am pleased to be accompanying you. master trusts you so I shall as well miss Cronia." Astra said as they walked through the celestial cave. the cavern lit up by glowing crystals embedded in the walls and ceiling,
The two came across a crystal formation. same as the one that attacked Cronia and the chronicler. when Cronia came to the keep. just like clockwork they begin to come alive roaring in warning of an attack,
"Alright Miss Cronia. this should do fine as a first task." Astra said as Cronia look at golam beasts with a bit of wariness. "what are these creatures Astra?" Cronia asked as she look at the creatures. their crystals different colors,
"These golems are known as crystalline brutes. they are very territorial and are very prone to attack any trespassers." Astra explained as her body changed color to green symbolizing the earth element. as she prepared to demonstrate how to take on the crystalline brutes. who were staring the two down,
Astra surged fore as the fire element crystalline brute. attempted to smash her in the head with its large club like arm. It missed with Astra's agile form. and Astra turn her head to the golem. and shot a blast of the earth element. with such force Cronia felt the shockwaves of the blast. as the crystalline brute crumbled to nothing but shards of crystals completely obliterated,
Showing to Cronia. despite how tough and threatening the crystalline brutes looked. they were in truth brittle and easily destroyed. more the reason they attacked in groups of four to five,
"Alright Miss Cronia I think you seen enough. it's your turn see if you can destroy one of these creatures." Astra instructed her. "yes Astra!" Cronia said with a confident smile. as she stare down a ice element crystalline brute. it moving towards her the club arm in a ready to swing stance,
Cronia let her powers flow. thinking only in the moment not about everything else. she froze time around her and charged the golem. slashing into its crystal form with utmost precision. continuing her attack until she believed it was enough and time resumed. and the crystalline brute she attack exploded into a glittering blue dust the remaining two golem retreating they lost their advantage,
"Excellent work! master would be proud of such a performance. but knowing the chronicler he is most likely already aware of your accomplishment." Astra said as Cronia smile at her. being with Astra during this training session. felt almost like working side by side with one's sister. and for a magical construct Astra had a lot of personality and emotions,
Later on Astra and Cronia was resting inside the keep's main room. where Cronia was asked by the Chronicler to study a book of elements. but it was during this reading she asked Astra a question. "Astra?" Cronia started "yes miss Cronia how can I be of assistance?" Astra answered back. "I wanna ask if you are a magical construct. who made you and why? Oh and do you actually have all known elements within you?" Cronia asked as the elemental dragoness ponder how best to respond,
"My creator is the chronicler himself. he made me from one core of every known element in our world. so yes I can infact harasses all the element. though I'm some what limited in that regard. as for my primary purpose well I am meant to guide a prophecy hero. towards defeating the dark master. I also doubles as the keep of time's sworn defender in case we are attacked. if that were to happen I need to activate all the keep of time's ancient defenses." Astra answered to the questions. as Cronia nodded very curious about the future what it held for her,
Training today was pretty exciting fun even. and Astra had quite a lot of knowledge to share. it was slowly turning to night. Cronia close the book of elements putting it next to her sleeping spot. in her alcove then went to the Chronicler. "good night chronicler. please don't tired yourself too much with reading dusty old tomes." Cronia said as her gesture was very sweet. "rest well Cronia. there is more lessons for you tomorrow." he said as she walk over to Astra who had turn her body to the color of a neutral element aether,
"Good night Astra. hope you have a good night too." she said as Astra turn her attention to Cronia. "rest easy Cronia rest assure I'll keep a watchful eye over the keep during the night." Astra said with confidence. Cronia nodded and ran to her alcove get comfy in the blankets as she drafted off to sleep,
As Cronia slept her dreams started out fine. it was about her home the great city of warfang. she was assisting her mother Aqua dutifully working the flowery fields of their home. as Aqua was one of Warfang's accessory makers. any gem or even flower could be turn to something beautiful in her talons. "alright Cronia my dear run along. surely you can find playmate somewhere in Warfrang. I'll take care of the rest from here." Aqua had said as Cronia nodded and dashed off to play with other dragons in warfang,
In the waking world Cronia had a lot of difficulties making friends back in warfang. often feeling like she made bad first impressions or make herself look bad,
But in this dreamscape. she had friends! Even if they were but figment of her own mind. they felt real enough. a whiteish blue wind dragoness, a black shadow dragon and red fire dragon. she played with them for hours in her dream world and it felt incredible,
