Busy Saturday

Loo had been enjoying living with Sierra ever since he moved out from his parents place. The pale yellow giraffe's "sinergy" with him went way beyond the games they played, on and off stream, so it translated very quickly into a healthy routine.
But living with one of the Desert Roses was still quite the experience, as she often had to leave with her friends and spend the whole day around the city, searching for things to put on their variety and eco-friendly blog.
She never really pleaded for him to tag along, but in that Saturday afternoon he felt like doing so. His stream was only scheduled for later in the night anyway and Takoda had plans with Rainer, so he didn't have anything to lose.
It did help that on that weekend the desert roses didn't plan to go very far, just check in some new stores in Lion's Lane and finish the afternoon by taking a look at the Garden Park.
They met with Cristal, a blue rhino with short dark hair, and Sylvana (mostly known as Silv), a tan sheep-lioness hybrid with long, wooly green hair, at a new buffet for lunch, who really specialized in salads.
Sierra brought her professional camera as well, and with the staff's permission, she took some pictures of the food and establishment, before they sat down to eat.
For Loo at least, the food was good, but the price was maybe a bit on the higher end.
After that, they went on a walk around the streets, and split up to cover more ground and check more stores without gathering much attention as a big group. But Loo still followed behind Sierra, as despite the giraffe having long legs, she walked slowly as she loved to take in the sights. And that made it easier for Loo to follow.
They first stopped at a flower shop, and despite not really knowing much about plants, the red bison was amazed by the colors and smells that filled that place. But he did recognize a few flowers like roses, tulips and hibiscuses. The later ones coincidentally being his and Sierra's favorites. So they both left the place with one of those flowers in their hair, which the old lovebird lady at the counter was happy to place on them.
They then stopped by a few cheap clothes stores, and Loo was surprised to see some quality stuff with less than half of the price of the big brands. Takoda would love them.
But they didn't buy anything this time, as they were there mostly to browse through stores and have enough info for the Desert Roses to write a review about those places.
They stopped by a cafe for some drinks on the go, and also for Loo to take a little breather. He wasn't used to walking that much on foot by the streets of the city, even though he did daily exercises at home and often hit the gym with Sierra and his brother. The heat and smog from all the cars were probably the reason, but the short red bison never had a body of steel either.
But after that, they also stopped at a perfume store, and took a whiff of a few pleasant samples that made the bison sneeze. So they didn't stay for long.
And soon, they could finally see it, just across the wide, bustling road, they could see a huge open area, protected by only a tall metal fence. Green hills and trees all the way into the horizon. The Bistatual Garden Park.

Sierra: Still up for a little hike?

She smiled gently at him, and he did the same back.

Loo: Do I have a choice?

Sierra: Always.

Loo: Heh. I think I have a few more steps on me.

With that, they crossed the streets and got into the park. That piece of preserved wilderness was just a cozy campsite a century or so ago. But with the constant expansion of the metropolis, it soon became enveloped by it. However, conservation efforts and public outcry kept that fair amount of acres from being urbanized, with the city instead being carefully built around it, even as it breached the state lines.
They even passed by the frontier on the little trail they walked on, until reaching the nice, cozy campsite that started it all.
The wooden cabins and picnic tables had been renovated constantly over the decades, so they looked prestine as always when they walked in.
Ahead, there was the vast crystalline waters of Lake Goodwill, and on the other side, they could see the more open parts of the park, filled with people, and the surrounding skyscrapers in the distance.
Loo took the time to sit by one of the tables, right beside a window with closed blinds of one of  the cabins. Taking in the fresh air as Sierra snapped a few pictures of the place.
Her long black hair flowing in the wind, and the satisfied smile on her face as she snapped a picture and took some time to appreciate what was right in front of her... It made the red bison feel her bliss.
She then came back and sat across from him on the table, just as he heard a couple of folks stepping inside the cabin. Probably the renters for the weekend.

Sierra: I think that's enough for now.

Loo: Are the other girls coming over already?

Sierra: Yep. They're arriving in a few minutes.

Loo: Great.

But then he felt a chill on his neck, as he heard a deep voice coming from the window beside them.

???: Did you bring what I asked?
