"Miss Belle—now would be the perfect moment—to sprout some wings!" Rex shouted, his voice cutting through the rushing air as they plummeted toward the ground.

"Feck, ye think I haven't thought o' that? I still can't even—get at me mana!" Belle roared, twisting herself in the air to steady her fall. "I don't suppose ye've got any o' them watches left like last time, do ye?" she shouted.

"Unfortunately, no," Rex replied.

The two prepared for the inevitable, their bodies tense as the ground rushed toward them. Just as the impact seemed unavoidable, an unseen force caught them, halting their fall a mere inch from the ground. They hovered there, suspended, the energy holding them firm against the pull of gravity.

Chomp, chomp!

Belle cracked one eye open, half-expecting to see nothing but darkness. Instead, she found herself alive, her body still suspended mid-air. With a quick twist, her body was flipped from face down to a seated position, momentum carrying her gracefully toward the nearby wall, where she landed with precision.

Rex wasn't far behind, descending with ease. His face lit up with unrestrained joy, as if he couldn't contain his excitement at their survival—looking over to his left.

To their left stood a young light skin girl about Rex's age, casually eating a red apple while waving her hand like a band conductor. Her yellow, star-shaped pupils shimmered with a similar glow to Rex.

Rex ran toward her and pulled her into a hug. "Oh my gosh, thanks for the save, Cosy. I love you so much, also where have you been this whole time," he said.

Cosy's bold blue hair shifted with the sudden gust, matching the movement of her blue jacket. Her pink hoodie underneath the jacket bore a yellow smiley face at its center, contrasting with her black runner's shorts. Her pink low-top sneakers hovered just above the ground, as if gravity had no hold on her.

"Hey, bro. I was chilling in my room, listening to When The Stars Align on Jupiter Radio with my headphones, but I got hungry and heard all the noise outside," Cosy said, finishing the last bite of her apple.

"Of course you were," Rex replied, shaking his head. "You always blast their music way too loud," he added, resting his hands on her shoulders.

"Guessing, that lass is the sister ye mentioned before, Rex?" Belle asked.

"Yup, she sure is. Her star eyes are really strong, so we shouldn't have too much trouble with this Lucifer guy now," Rex said.

"Speaking of Lucifer," Cosy said, pointing towards the ceiling. All eyes turned upward as Lucifer descended through the opening, his movements smooth and deliberate, exuding an aura of control.

"So, you two managed to survive. How utterly disappointing," Lucifer said, his tone clipped and refined. His eyes narrowed, then lit up with recognition, "Ah but wait—is that the Eyes of Gravity the boss has been searching for? Well, well, this tiresome day seems to be improving at last." A slow smirk spread across his face under his mask as he cracked his knuckles with deliberate poise.

Cosy tossed the eaten apple into the air, where it hovered, defying gravity, as she locked eyes with Lucifer.

With a quick wave of her hand, Belle and Rex were lifted off the ground and floated behind her. Sliding her oversized yellow-lensed, star-shaped pink goggles from her forehead down over her eyes, Cosy flexed her fingers, cracking the knuckles of her mismatched fingerless gloves—blue on the right, pink on the left. She smirked, revealing sharp fangs as she tilted her head in a mocking gesture.

"Oh, is that a challenge, Mr. Sephora?" she said, her tone dripping with playful defiance. "Get ready to lose without even getting close to touching me."

"Wait, Cosy. He's out of our league, and he has an A.N.A.M weapon. We need to work together to defeat him," Rex said, his voice laced with concern. Belle nodded in agreement, eager to face Lucifer again.

"He's out of your league, so just sit back and watch me handle this," Cosy retorted back with a smug grin.

"Sephora? You dare insult me so egregiously? I would never stoop to using such a low-grade, overpriced excuse for a brand," Lucifer scoffed, his irritation mounting. "I shall relish the moment I wipe that smug grin from your face and deliver you to the boss for his grand plan." With a flourish, Lucifer summoned his scythe back into his grasp.

Without uttering a word, Cosy motioned for Lucifer to come forward, one hand casually tucked in her pocket. The gesture ignited the Angel's fury once more, prompting him to charge at her, and their battle began.

More parts coming, thank you for reading.
Short chapter but the next one will be longer, I just thought this would be a good place to end it.
