Hak was gone before she knew it. It hurt her so much, when she was alone. She just wanted to keel over and cry. But she couldn't... Her sister could, because of Su-Won. But she had no one...
"What's wrong, Yona?" Su-Won asked, running after the girl. Yuri followed behind, wanting to help her sister.
"Go away." she snapped. Yuri winced at her tone. It hurt her a lot.
Yuri stopped following, watching Su-Won ask her questions. Yuri wished someone would do that for her. She put on her best smile and turned. She walked away from them. She walked and bumped into someone. "Huh? I'm sorry..."
Hak sighed. "Princess Yuri? What's wrong? Are you trying to be appealing?" he teased.
"Hak... You're so mean..." Yuri said quietly... This was her win win chance. She could cry because Hak was a jerk, not because her mother was gone. Tears poured down her face as she sobbed. Covering her face with her hands, tears came.
She felt someone pat her shoulder. "I know, we all hate this."
Yuri stopped crying. "Hate what?"
"That you mom died. That the queen passed away." Hak told her, like it was obvious.
Yuri pouted. "That's not why I'm crying... I'm crying because my friend is such a jerk."
"Then why am I you're friend?" he teased.
"You're not. You're my big sister's friend." Yuri tried. She never liked showing weakness to anyone, especially Hak.
Hak smiled. "Let's go, okay?"
"Hak! Su-Won!" Yuri called. "Big sister, Yona!" running down the stairs and into the archery field. She watched as Su-Won and her sister on the horse. Her face fell. She always arrived after Yona so she never had the chance to ride a horse. Hak and his horse trotted over to her. "Wanna ride?"
Her face brightened. "Yea!" she smiled. He got off and helped her up.
"You're much lighter than Princess Yona." Hak told her.
Yuri smiled. "Yea..."When Yuri got on, she felt the saddle shift as she sat there. "Ummm, Hak? Is this safe... I never ridden a horse before..."
Hak chuckled, getting onto the saddle behind her. "Don't worry. I'm here."
"'I feel so much safer'." Yuri said sarcastically, mimicked her sister. He laughed. The horse began moving and instantly, she felt terrified. "Ummm..."
"You scared, Princess?" Hak asked her.
Yuri gave a slight nod. He sighed. "Just lean onto me. You won't fall off."
"Promise?" Yuri whimpered.
"Well..." Hak shrugged. "Promise I guess."
Yuri leaned against Hak, holding the front of the saddle. She heard her sister say something.
"I-I've had marriage talks, too, you know!" Yona looked up, indignantly.
"Really? With who?" Su-Won asked.
By this point, Yuri and Hak had reached them and were moving at their pace. Yuri was interested in the answer too. She didn't know anything about this 'marriage talk' so...
Her sister scrunched her face, thinking. The only boy they knew was- "With Hak."
Yuri held in her laughter and sighed. "Sorry. I'm with Hak right now. Ill get off if you want." Yuri volunteered.
