"Hey Carla, when Ben's gets released from the hospital are we going to take him home or here?"
"Well I don't even think his mother knows he is in the hospital or she would have visited."
"Maybe she did know but didnt want to go."
"That's a possibility but I am hoping that that is not the case." Carla said to me as she prepared dinner.
"What are we having tonight Carla?" I questioned sitting on the counter of the kitchen.
"I don't know, are you staying in tonight?"
"Yeah. Don't really want to hang out with anyone."
"Well were are about to have arroz con pollos."
"Rice with chicken sounds good to me." I said before getting up and leaving the kitchen.
I went into my room and out onto the balcony to get some fresh air. I sat on the ledge as I usually do and looked out onto the city.
"I should probably get started on my homework." I whispered as the wind started to pick up.
The sun was almost down and the city lights were on. I could here the cars honking below me and people screaming at eachother through there windows. Where could they be rushing to. No matter where you went in this grand city, someone was always in some kind of a hurry.
I leaned forward and let go of the railing still keeping my balance. I chuckled at the thought of how scared Sandy gets when I do this. I grabbed back onto the bar and began to rock as the city hummed below me. I stayed like this for about 30 more minutes before I swung my feet back over onto the platform of the balcony and enter inside my room to begin my homework.I began to draw my bear for Mrs. Krabtre's class and the picture slowly turned into the cute bear I had pictured in my mind. I debated a few times on weather or not it should have a bow or where to put the ear but I was finished in about thirty minutes.
I checked back outside on Carla and she seemed to be on the phone so I looked in the kitchen to find that dinner was ready. I made myself a plate and sat down the clock above our mary statue by out dining table read 8:30. I would have nothing to do after I ate and took a shower ; I never realized how boring it was in my own home with out my friends. I ate slowly and washed my dishes before heading into my room to take a nice and long shower. I brushed my teeth afterwards and got into some comfy pajama's. I packed my bag for tomorrow and laid on my ned after everything I could possible do was done.I turned on the tv and flicked through the channels but to my luck nothing that interest me was on. I didn't want to text or talk to anyone either so the night dragged on with out any excitement.
"Why am I so bored?" I asked myself laying back onto my pillow and looking up into the ceiling.
"Dalia! I'm heading out for the night, I'll probably be back around one or two'ish so don't wait up!" Carla called out from somewhere around the house. I heard the door close declaring that Carla had left and that I was alone in this empty apartment. I stayed in my room and tried the tv again to no prevail.
"Absolutely nothin'. I can't believe this." I said to myself as I walked out on the balcony. Once again I found myself looking out onto the city tonight. I stared down at the cars and squinted to see if I recognized any.
"Ooh, I'll play the spit game." I said once again talking to no one. I leaned my upper body over the railing as I stood on the platform. I remember playing this game when I first arrived at this house to meet my father. I never wanted to talk to him back and now all I want to do is talk to him. I create enough savliva in my mouth and spat watching it fall down and hoping someone would look up because it landed on them. My first attempt was a miss so I began to process of generating saliva once again when I hand was quickly over my mouoth and nose.
I thrashed and fought but the perpetrator was obviously stronger then me. My adrenaline was picking up and my heart felt as if it was literally about to explode. I struggled and hit the person with an elbow to the rib. Startled they let go of me and I made a mad dash to my door when another man stepped out from behind my dresser and clubbed me on the head with an unidentified object. I hit the floor with a hard thump and could feel the darkness of unconsciousness beginning to swallow me. It my last attempt to survive I reached up towards my phone on the dresser but my attempt was denied my a hard stomp on my hand. I felt waek and my head rang as I began to let the dark take over me."Dude, He said alive with no injuries, Dont hurt her jackass." I don't know who said it but I knew it wasn't a man.
"Yeah. please don't hurt her." That voice... Carla.
I looked up hoping to see her but I could only make out shadows before darkness took over me.
Sandy's POV
10:15, I looked at the clock on the dash as I sped to the JFK airport. Kyle and the guys would be leaving at 11:30 and I wanted to be sure I wished him good bye. Don was in the passanger seat texting away and Jen was in the back sleeping along side Cooper ; who was in his car seat. I stopped to pay for parking and woke Jen up, before pulling into a space.
"Remember D3 guys." I said as I got out the car.
Jen got Cooper out and carried him on her hip and Don struggled with setting up the stroller.
"Just forget about it." Jen said switching Cooper from her left hip to her right."Alright, but I'm going to carry the diaper bag just incase." Don said putting the stroller back in teh trunck before closing it.
We entered into the building and Don texted Ronnie that we were here and asked for there were abouts.
"I can't believe there leaving." Jen said as we followed the direction Ronnie was texting to Don.
"Yeah, I know. You think you'll be ok with Cooper and.." I trailed off not really sure if I should have asked.
"Yeah. Besides the weird stares I get from my employer every now and then I'll be fine." She said with a happy smile and fixing Cooper's falling jacket.
"Don! Baby Bruva!" I heard an all too familiar voice call out for Don.
I looked up to see Ronnie and the whole crew moving towards us. I smiled as I saw Kyle and he returned the favor. The distance closed between us and we all hugged and talked infront of the guys gate that led to their terminal."I'm really going to miss you San." Kyle whispered to me as we held eachother close.
"awwh the love birds of our group." Ronnie said coming in between us and forcing his arms over both our shoulders. "San, San, San. I sure am going to miss you boo.." Ronnie smiled looking at me and then at Kyle.
"Oh stop your bullshit." I said with a smile and nudging him slightly.
"I am, even through all our arguement and you cutting practice short. I'm going to miss."
I rolled my eyes and looked at Ronnie who was putting on his puppy dog look. "Alright i'm going to miss you too asshole." I said smiling.
"I knew you were." Ronnie said before letting go of Kyle and me.
I looked over at Gage, Jen, and Cooper and they all looked so happy. I knew then and there no one would have to worry about Gage, I knew he was faithful. I still had my doubts with Kyle but I trusted him. Gage was holding Cooper who was laughing for some reason and both him and Jen were smiling and looking back and forth from Coop to eachother. I took my phone out quickly and snapped a shot of the happy family and joinged back in the conversation with the rest of the guys.
We stayed until 11 and the boys had to leave before they missed there flight. I kissed Kyle goodbye and gave everyone else a hug besides Mick ; I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Gage was the last to enter the gate he stay with Jen a few seconds longer.
"I don't have to go if you don't want me to Jen, Just say you don't want me to go and I wont." I over heard Gage talking to Jen and continued to listen in.
"Don't be dumb, get your ass on that plane and have fun with out girls over there." Jen said with a smile.
"Dont worry about me, by the time I land they'll already know I don't want any of them." Gage said kissing Jen sweetly and giving Cooper back to her.
"Good, no hurry up before I kick your... A-S-S." Jen paused and spelled the word out so Cooper couldn't understand.
Gage chuckled before kissing Jen and Cooper on the forhead. I could see Cooper had tears in his eyes and it made me want to cry.
"Don't cry ok. I want you to take care of your mom. Can you do that for me?" Gage said looking at his son, who nodded his head.
"Good." Gage said before saying goodbye one more time and entering the gate.
