|Later That Day|

"Hey Mom." I said as I walked into the apartment room after recording. I left the park around one o'clock, and went straight to the studio. My mom was sitting in the living room, silently reading a homing magazine, while soft, jazz played from the TV.

"Jazz?" I asked. "Really?"

My mom shrugged. "I just wanted alittle noise in the room. It was too quiet." she eyed me suspiciously. "Where'd you run off to this morning?"

"I went for a walk in the park, and then to the studio." I said, walking over to the refridgerator, getting a lemonade from the inside.

I caught my mom trying to hide a smile as she looked down at her magazine. I knew there was a surprise for me somewhere in the apartment.

I looked around, looking in the cabinets, and under the sink. I tried to look behind the fridge, but it was too heavy, and when I heard a loud BANG inside, I backed up, hands in the air.

"What are you doing, Justin?" my mom asked, looking up from her magazine, and walking into the kitchen.

"I saw that smile." I said, moving from the kitchen into the living room, still in search for the surprise my mom set for me.

"What smile?" my mom asked, acting innocent, "I smile all the time."

"Not just a smile. The smile." I said, looking at her. "You know, the smile I usually get every year, on March first, when you try to throw a surprise birthday party for me, but I always find out." I put emphasis on 'surprise' so she'd get the point I know.

She sighed, and pointed down the small hallway, and towards my room. I threw down the couch pillow I'd picked up before, and walked into my room, opening the door slowly, for dramatic effect.

"Just open the door," my mom said, annoyed. I laughed, and swung the door open wide enough so the door knob hit the back wall.

I walked in, and looked around. Everything looked in place, bed un-made. Magazine that I threw at Ryan still layed in the corner, opened upside down against the wall.

"What's supposed to be in here?" I asked, turning towards my mom. Once again, that sneaky smile played on her lips, and I felt a pair of hands behind me cover my eyes.

I jumped, and took a step back, onto the mystery person's foot.

"Ow!" the person yelled, and the hands were taken off my eyes. I turned to see a pair of familiar ocean blue eyes and golden blonde hair.

"Lynn?!" I asked, my eyes growing wide. She gripped her foot, and smiled at me, falling backwards. She landed on the floor with a loud thud. She flintched.

"Ow again." she said, and laughed. "Hello there, Justin." she gave me a small wave. "Thanks for the welcome gift." she looked down at her foot.

"I love it."

I laughed, and helped her up. She giggled, and wrapped her arms around my neck. I smelled a familiar scent on her clothes as she held me close.

I pulled back, and smiled. "Are you wearing...Someday?"

Lynn's face turned slightly pink, and she pulled back. "Maybe."

"Really?!" I asked, smiling even wider. She nodded.

"It smelled good, and my mom was like 'Lets get it!' so she bought me some." she gave me a huge smile. "It smell good?"

"Yea," I looked at my mom. "Doesn't she smell good."
