My phone dinged and I checked it to see Hunter texted me, letting me know him, Sophia and Paisley were coming over in 15 minutes. I told him that was fine and handed Chloe the outfit, which consisted of a white crop top and a pair of blue washed shorts and socks. She smiled at me and slipped it on.I adjusted her hair and made sure her makeup looked okay, and handed her some jewelry. She put it on and I smiled, satisfied with my work and Hunter screamed,

"Honey, I'm here!" I laughed and Chloe did as well. I walked out of my room and down the stairs, where I heard a commotion in the kitchen. Hunter sat on the floor, surrounded by the contents from the bottom shelf on the fridge door. He looked up at me guiltily.

"It fell." Sophia was in the kitchen table chair and was laughing her ass off. Hunter smiled weakly and I shook my head, smile tugging on my lips as I put the shelf back on, and placed its contents back on it.

"Careful." I warned him. He opened the door slowly and Sophia was still laughing. I walked over to her and hugged her.

"Hey."

"Hey, you look really nice." When she said that, Hunter turned, looked at my outfit and pointed at the stairs. "Change." I giggled and shook my head.

"No! I'm going out later." He stared me down and I stared back.

"With who?"

"Chloe."

"She's here?" I nodded.

"Chlo-ster come down here!"

"Chloe! No! He's gonna make you change!" She came down the stairs in her robe, and I laughed.

"Bruddah!" She screamed, leaping into his arms. Paisley was gurgling in my arms and she latched her fingers onto my pinky.

"Chlo-ster!" I laughed at their small reunion and started talking to Paisley.

"Daddy's a nut job. Yes he is. Yes he is." I cooed. She smiled at me and I sat her up as she drooled. I wiped it away with her bib.

"Chloe, what are you doing today?" She paled.

"I'm going to church." she lied. Hunter busted out laughing and I giggled. "I am!" He laughed even harder, tears streaming down his face.

"Seriously, where are you going?" the doorbell rang and Chloe sprinted to it, phone and wallet in hand, she threw the robe off and Hunter chased after her.

"Go change!" He yelled at her.

"Never!" She screamed. I just stood in the corner, cooing to Paisley as I heard the front door open.

"Save me!" She yelled.

"Hunter! Don't embarrass her!" Sophia yelled.

"Yeah, Hunter! Listen to your wife!" I heard Chloe yell. I sighed to myself and walked towards the door.

"Hi. I'm Chris."

"Hunter."

"We are going out for a while, and then meeting up with Bella and Ryder to watch a few movies." I stealthily tried to make my way to my room.

"Not with my daughter, Bella." He said, barely even turning around. I mentally cursed to myself and slumped back into the kitchen.

"Daddy's crazy." I cooed to Paisley. She watched my mouth as I said the words and she smiled and drooled a little, I wiped it up and handed her back to Sophia. She smiled at me and bounced Paisley on her knee. The door closed and Hunter came back in the kitchen.

"So you're going on a date?" I looked down and shook my head no.

"Don't lie."

"He's just a friend." I defended, raising my hands up. Hunter gave me a strange look and went back into the freezer, grabbing ice cream. He grabbed a spoon out of the drawer and dug in. I didn't care, because we always had enough ice cream in the house, because I did all the food shopping. Mom and dad were home, but when they were, they were sleeping and then they would go back to work when they woke up. It was hard and I knew that, but they loved their jobs and each other, as well as Hunter and myself, oh and Chloe. Yeah, she moved in with us when she was 11. Long story, and not one I can tell. It's not my place.
