"Whoa, Helen! Slow down with your food or else you'll throw up everywhere." Newt exclaimed as I stuffed my face with the tasty dinner of steak.

I smile at his comment and then I answer with a mischievous grin. 'Don't worry Newt. I'll only throw up in Minho's room. Just for you.' At that I wiggle my eyebrows at his sudden laughter.

"Uh. I don't think I would since I would be the one cleaning it up."

We look up to see Chuck with an unhappy face on. 'Sorry Chuck. I won't. I promise and even if I did, I think we would have to make a bet with Minho on something that would end with him having the job that day. He would probably kill us."

I hear a mumble from both Chuck and Newt as they smirk at me. "Not you, though."

I earn them a confused face. Why not me? Eh, not important right now. I'm starving and the only thing in my sights is this half-eaten delicious steak, mashed potatoes, and garlic bread. Yuummmmm.

Soon, Minho and Alby come to join us. I need to ask Alby if pranks were allowed...and to what extant they could go. I set my mouth watering garlic bread down and poked Alby to get his attention from Newt's story of him and an "aggressive rock that's tripping him" all the time. 'So, Alby...to what extent can pranks be made?'

"No, pranks are really annoying when cleaning up and it usually ends up with Gladers fighting. The only reason why we did that prank to you was because Minho was more annoying than usual. "

Why did Minho say that he was the king of pranksters if he couldn't even do them. I felt breathing on the side of my neck after everyone's attention went back to Newt. Minho whispered, "Alby forgot to mention something about the mysterious prankster. Who said they ever knew who the prankster is?"

I gaped at Minho's sneakiness. I have to beat him at pranking, but who will be my first victim? I angrily chewed on my garlic bread as I glared at Minho's smirking. I gulped down the last bite of bread, as I swiped across my teeth with my tongue, but not before noticing the tightness around my throat.

It felt like someone was cutting off my air supply by tying a rope. I move my right hand and feel if there actually is a piece of the rope strangling me.

There isn't. So w-wh...why can't I breath anymore?

I start to take as much clean air as I can as I look at Minho's pale-stricken face. I start to panic and mouth, 'I can't breath,' to him over and over again while I try to not pass out. I know I'm failing to stay alive because I couldn't focus my vision on Minho anymore. Instead of thrashing around blindly, I focus on my sense of hearing. Even if it's almost impossible to stay awake, I hear possibly the last words before I pass out on the wooden floor.

"I'm right here, honey. I'll always be there for you."

Minho's POV

I rub my forehead in frustration, "Out of all the shucking things in the world, a piece of bread...A PIECE OF BREAD almost kills you? I thought I'd get to kick your ass at something before everything turns to klunk. I mean, garlic?

You're allergic to garlic! H-how could we have known that you were deathly allergic to it if we didn't get a notice. That would've been helpful instead of you making a huge scene in front of everyone. Not only that, but you scared the klunk out of me!" I sigh in relief.

When I saw Helen pass out I said the first thing that came to mind into her ear so she could calm down. God, I think I had a minor heart attack when everyone couldn't find anything wrong with her. We were freaking out about it. Newt and I seemed the most distraught but we relaxed once Wyatt and Clint ran over with an EPPY pen for allergies. Helen's veins were popping out of her skin while her face looked like it was going to explode. Thankfully, the allergy shot helped because her breathing returned to normal and she wasn't desperately sucking in air.

I carefully carried her to my bed after yelling at the Med-Jacks stubbornly. I've been here for about 2 hours watching over Helen. I won't lie but I have grown close to Helen. How close? Probably more than friends but I don't want to pressure her into everything. I have been trying to give her signals that I like her, but so far...it hasn't been working. The one thing I have noticed is that Newt has taken a liking to her. How can anyone not? I admit, I have been sticking to Helen's side more times than not but I guess I feel kind of jealous when I see Newt making her laugh.

She's beautiful, smart, funny, friendly, talented, and filled with hope. We all need hope in the Glade so by having her around, everyone seems happier. I even have been noticing the way my heartbeat rises when I see her smile or give me her cute eye-roll. Her blushing is beautiful and the way she laughs at every joke because she gets it makes me feel lighter every day. Just the thought of Helen makes me want to grin, so I do.

I look down to see Helen stirring closer to me only to sigh into my chest. She has done this almost every night and it makes me want to touch her soft skin or brush away her hair that always gets in front of her face, but I don't because that might be embarrassing. Without a second to lose I wrap my arms around her warm body.

Thirty minutes later Helen wakes up and blushes at the close vicinity of us, but she only watches my reaction. "Hey, do you feel better?

She silently nods, but gives me that curious look that makes me smile teasingly. " Yah, apparently your allergic to garlic," I fake a frown and sarcastically say, "Unfortunately, I was going to make you dinner with a bunch of garlic on it. Oh darn, I guess your going to have to miss that." She scoffs at that but smiles and playfully punches my arm.

"Don't worry I'll protect you from the monstrous garlic army! King Minho is on the way to save his damsel in distress!" I bark out a laugh at Helen's added detail of the army of garlic wearing different colors of overalls. Helen brightens up after our fit of laughter, but then she beats me at having the last word.

Helen starts walking toward the door after getting over the shock of seeing that she is in my room instead of the Med-Jacks. She turns toward me with a teasing smile before disappearing around the corner, 'By the way, I think you got the rolls reversed, slinthead.'

When she's out of ear shot, I scoff and mumble, "Well, at least I wasn't the one getting attacked by garlic."

Authors Note:

See what I did there with the star? I wanted the star to be named close to Christmas time so the North Pole and Polar Bears remind me of winter and trees. Of course Polaris is an actual star but it was the name I wanted it to be.

So I gave you some action with the whole allergy thing, but I also wrote a cute Milen moment! I like this chapter but I already have a plan for the next chapter, so get ready!

I WANT TO KILL WATTPAD SO MUCH!

Jk... I love it!

It deleted my chapter and I had to rewrite it again. D:
