It all started on June 24th. If that's your birthday, well it's mine as well. Me and my friends were born on June 24th, or more commonly known as Day 1. My name is Rufus. The small civilization born on Day 1 were me, Zaker, Fly, General, and Thunder. I was appointed leader of the civilization on Day 3, but that's way ahead of the beginning.
So on Day 1, we all appeared around each other at the same time. We all looked around, kinda confused. We were in a grass biome, right next to a huge desert. We all introduced ourselves and decided to go get some materials from a forest.
I was finishing up a large oak when the other four came up to me and handed me three and a half stacks of logs. It was time to build our shelter.
We walked over to the desert area and began to build a wooden house near some stone. I was in charge of making the outline of the house, Zaker was going to fill in the walls, Fly was going to mine, General was going to mine and get glass, and Thunder was sent out to find food and wool for beds. We finished the house in the late afternoon, and we all went out to help Thunder find the last 4 wool we needed.
Our first night was restless. We had to run back to the house, because we got attacked by skeletons in the night. We had just gotten some wool when General was hit with an arrow. We all ran back inside, and realized we didn't have enough wool. General lay on a bed as Zaker and I treated his wound. We were able to pull out the arrow, but he lost a heart so we had to feed him so his health would regenerate. We all tried to sleep, but there wasn't enough beds. We couldn't fall asleep on the ground, either. There were monsters nearby making grunts and noises, which kept us awake.
"Wow, look at that," said Fly. "It's beautiful."
By this time I hadn't noticed the night time fleeting away, and I looked out the window expecting nothing odd. What Fly was talking about was the sunrise. It was breathtaking. It was a mesh of red, orange, pink, and yellow all put into one big shining light. But the best part was definitely the monsters catching fire.
