Chapter-10 Uncle Steffen

Start from the beginning

"Why can't you?" He asked sadly.

"I-I just can't. I'm sorry Joe. This is something bigger than me that I just can't tell you or anyone else. I know you don't understand why I can't tell you or tell you why I can't tell you; but trust me when I say this, I do want to tell you; but I just can't. I know we've always told each other everything; but this is the one thing I can't tell you for both of our safety; but thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it." I said almost in tears.

I hated not being able to tell Joe; but this was for the best... I hope. He just nodded and tried to fake a smile while I did the same. One day I might be able to tell him; but today's not that day.

"We're here." Uncle Steffen called out getting of the car and opening it for mom and dad to come out.

Dad and Steffen went up to the door and opened it for mom to go in while Joe and I were admiring the car.

After she went in, dad stopped Steffen from going in and said, "Let's go inside ant talk. Jake and I have something to tell you." He whispered the last part.

I looked over at them and wondered, 'How can I hear them? They are over by the door and I'm over here at the car. My powers must have something to do with it.'

I walked over to the house and looked up and realized just how big the house was. It was three stories tall and that's if you don't count the roof as a story. I walked inside and was blown away from the sheer size of the main hall. It had to be worth a fortune. I looked up to see a massive golden chandler hanging right in the middle of the all surrounded be smaller silver chandlers. The walls were all covered by priceless artifacts and paintings. I looked around and saw through one of the doorways into what had to be the largest dining room I've ever seen. The table was massive and was covered by silver candles, plates, spoons, forks, knives, napkins, and flowers. Everything looked to be very luxurious and expensive. He must have spent millions on this place.

Steffen walked up behind me, tapped my shoulder, and motioned for me to fallow him and dad upstairs to one of the bedrooms. I looked around the bedroom and saw it too was decorated with the finest of tapestry, furnishings, and curtains. Everything in this house was luxurious. Steffen looked around the room the way dad back at home and alerted me to what we were going to talk about... me. Steffen finished his search of the room and looked outside the door before closing and locking it from the inside with us inside. There was so much tension in the room, that I was afraid to say anything.

'Here comes the interrogation.' I thought as he sat down.

Uncle Steffen didn't have my problem and asked seriously, "What is so important that you can't tell your wife but you can tell me and one of your sons?"

"You know how I told you one of my children would end up being an armored warrior?" Dad asked back.

"Yeah, but I don't..." Uncle Steffen started but stopped himself realizing what dad was trying to say. "You mean he's a warrior?" He asked shocked.

"Yes he is. He's the blue warrior; the one destined to bring balance to this world." Dad said looking right into Steffen's eyes.

"Is that true Jake?" Steffen asked turning to me to confirm dad's statement.

"I'm not sure if I'm the blue warrior. I only know that my energy is blue, my eyes turned blue, and my hair turned blue." I said not knowing what else to say.

"Then you are the blue warrior. No other warrior can have blue energy. You are the first and the only warrior that will ever have blue energy." Steffen said in astonishment.

"I don't see how I could possibly save the entire world. I'm only one boy. What can I do or difference can I make? I believe I can do all things through Christ; but that's a big job for just one boy." I asked wondering how I could accomplish such a big task.

"You won't be doing it alone. You will just play the biggest role in the process. Others will help you; you won't be in this alone." Dad said reassuring.

Hearing that I wouldn't have to do that alone made me relax somewhat; but the thought of saving the entire world was far overwhelming for me right now.

Dad saw my face and immediately knew what I was thinking and said, "Don't worry Jake, it'll be years before you'll have to start to think about that. Just worry about keeping your secret to just us and don't think about what is to come."

I smiled and nodded thinking, 'Dad is a really good therapist. He should have gone into therapy.'

"Now you go and play with your brother while I show your dad and mom around the house." Uncle Steffen said unlocking the door and scooting me on my way while going back to talk to dad.
