"I knew it!" I exclaimed "I'm just like the other girls! You play with them make them think you like them and bam just like that you drop them." I turned to head up stairs but he caught my arm before I could. He pulled me into his arms, looked into my eyes and gave me a passionate kiss. I was in complete utter shock but soon got over it and kissed back. The kiss as cheesy as it may sound set off fireworks like the 4th of July; it was perfect. Pulling away for air I looked at his eyes and saw something I have never seen before. "What was that?" I asked touching my lips that were still tingling.
"A kiss." Tyler simply stated
"I know what it was but why did you kiss me?"
"To show you that you're not like the girls and that you're different. I like you Destiny I really do." He said with a hopeful look in his eyes. Before I could respond there was a knock at the door, leaving Tyler to go see who it was; I saw Kyle on the other side.
"Hey Kyle come in." I said giving him a small smile.
"Why weren't you at school? You haven't texted me at all I was worried."
"I'm sorry I couldn't come today. . ." I said sighing getting ready to tell him the reason.
"She couldn't come today because her aunt passed away." Tyler finished for me wrapping his arm around my shoulder sending butterflies into my stomach.
Brushing off Tyler's arm I turned to look at Kyle again he looked uncomfortable when I was about to ask him what was wrong he blurted out "I thought you said you guys weren't going out?" he said with a hurt look in his eyes
"We aren't Kyle. I promise you we aren't." I said trying to reassure him that Tyler and I aren't going out.
"Ok so then he wouldn't mind if I asked you on a real date sometime next week." He said raising an eyebrow. At the sound of that I could feel Tyler tense up.
"No he wouldn't and I would like to but I can't" like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders Tyler relaxed. "It would be too soon Kyle I'm sorry." I said hoping he would understand
"I get it. It's ok." he said hurt
"Wait what?" I asked confused
"There is obviously something going on between you two and I don't want to get in the way of it."
"There is nothing between Tyler and I Kyle! If you don't want to believe me that is fine," I said turning around to head up to my room "you both can let yourselves out."
Entering my room I locked the door so no one could come in, looking for my phone I realized I left it downstairs. Turning the corner into the living room I heard Kyle and Tyler speaking deciding to stay hidden to hear what they were saying I stayed behind the corner.
"What do you think she will do when she finds out this is all part of a game? That you made a bet saying and I quote 'I can make any girl fall in love with me'." said a voice I recognized as Kyle
"You wouldn't tell her!" exclaimed Tyler quietly
"I can see it now; when I tell her you were only using her for a game. She will come running into my arms."
That douche! No wonder he was really sweet to me lately because it was all a freaking game!
"You dick!" I said aloud so he could hear me. They seem startled by my presence. "You're such a dick! Tyler why the fuck would you do that?!" I cursed "and you Kyle you knew and you didn't tell me! You should have told me when I was talking to you at the galleria!" I exclaimed "to think I was actually starting to fall for your shit! I actually believed you liked me that you cared but no turns out I was right it was all part of a game!"
