"I'm fine dad, really," Niall stated.
"If you say so."

A scream came from the front of the store. Harry, along with Connor and Lacey, all emerged from the backroom to see Delilah beating the floor with a broom.
"What are you doing?" Lacey asked, walking closer to see what she was beating.
"There was a cockroach!" Delilah said. Harry and Connor came to view with the small, now dead and squished animal on the sparkly, marble floors.
"Okay! Okay! You can stop now, it's dead," Lacey said, taking the broom from Delilah. Delilah quickly walked away from the dead animal towards the back of the store.
"It's already bad enough that I have to stay after my shift without pay. I can't deal with cockroaches and other ugly bugs," Delilah whined. Harry brought the dusting pan and gave to to Lacey to get the bug off the floor.
"The bug is probably more afraid of you then you are of it," Connor said, walking past Delilah with a cleaning spray and a small cloth. He got on his knees and began cleaning the 'bug guts' as he called it from the floor.
"Did you throw it away?" Harry asked once Lacey came back from the backroom without a broom.
"No Harry, I ate it," Lacey teasingly smiled. Harry gently punched her arm and laughed. The door suddenly opened, almost hitting Connor - who was still cleaning the bug guts.
"Oh, sorry," Louis said, stepping around Connor with Liam in tow.
"What are you guys doing here?" Harry asked. He didn't mind his friends coming to visit him. He just hoped Lacey was okay with it. Harry knew Delilah and Connor couldn't care less. Both of them really just cared about going home.
It was also surprising to see Louis with Liam. He didn't know both of them were close friends already. Then again, they do have some sort of connection between them.
"We just came to hang around until you were finish so we could go catch a movie or something," Louis said. Liam nodded.
"That's nice," Harry grinned, playing with his fingers. "Thank you for inviting me to third-wheel this date."
Harry's grinned got wider as he watched Louis and Liam both become red by blushing and fumble over their words.
"What? That's not it-" Liam said.
"It's not like that, haha. . ."Louis added, rubbing the back of his neck in a nervous way.
"I was kidding."
"Oh," Harry heard Liam say. Harry walked away to start cleaning the counters. Delilah and Connor were back at bickering at each other. Lacey was no where to be seen. She was probably in the backroom. There was been something up with her lately, Harry had noticed.
Lacey has been more stressed than the usual. Harry wondered how much it would take to make her crack. He also wondered if it had something to do with Troy. He wanted to be there for Lacey like she was when he had problems with Niall. It's what friends do.
Harry stopped wiping the counters and began to frowned. He wondered where Niall was. He hasn't heard from him all day.
Harry didn't want to sound clingy but it was weird that Niall hadn't contacted him once the entire day. Maybe he left a message or something and Harry didn't notice because his phone was on silent.
Harry took out his phone and checked his notifications. He had none.
"Checking up on Niall?" Louis suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Yeah," Harry confessed. "I haven't heard from him all day."
"How weird. He's usually all up on you," Louis tilted his head. Harry saw Liam watching Louis from afar but didn't comment on it. "Niall is whipped for you, Harry. I'm still not sure if that's a good or bad thing."
"Why would it be a bad thing?" Harry asked.
"Well first, he's dating someone," Louis listed. He instantly regretted saying it like that when he saw Harry basically deflate. "But this someone doesn't have Niall whipped like you do, trust me. I don't like her, at all."
"You don't?" Harry racked his brain for her name. He knew it started with an M. Mary? Mariana? Macie? Melan- Melissa. "Why don't you like Melissa?"
"So you know her name," Louis planted his palms on the counter and huffed. "Niall's my best friend. And I want the best for him. Melissa. . .let's just say that she's not the best - um - best partner for him."
"And I am?"
"You have yet to prove me wrong," Louis smiled. He nodded and walked away. Harry watched him walk towards Liam before looking away.
Knowing that Louis accepted Harry for Niall made him feel. . . better.
Harry just hoped Niall wouldn't keep their relationship a secret forever. Harry wants to be happy and he knows he can find that with Niall. He is willing to wait for Niall but he can't wait forever. At some point, Niall needs to overcome the obstacles and Harry will be there to help him.
Harry just can't deny that he loves Niall so much.
