3: The Dream

Garroth POV:

When I woke up I was.. In the clouds? I looked around, curious of my surroundings. Then I see Laurence.

"L-Laurence..?" I call out. He turns and smiles brightly. "Where are we..?" I ask him. He simply grabs my hand.

I turn a deep shade of red, as Laurence points to our left. He still hasn't said anything, which is strange.

I gladly follow him. While walking on the clouds I take a good look of this strange area.

We weren't on the ground, that's for sure. Just an endless blue sky, and white fluffy clouds. "Laurence?" I say again.

He doesn't answer. Laurence just kept walking. Then the clouds ended. But he was still walking.

My heart started to beat fast. I clutched Laurence's hand tightly. But he still didn't say anything.

"Laurence!" I shout, trying to make him stop. He kept walking. I tried to get out of his grasp, but I was stuck.

Then he walked over the edge, causing me to fall down with him. "Laurence!" I scream, waving my arms.

Then suddenly, I look and he isn't there. I scream again, as I fall down to the ground.

Then I realize, there's water to land in at the bottom. My eyes widen as land in the water with a huge slam.

I sigh in relief as I got out of the cold water. I take a look around at this beautiful place.

It was like an island. There was water surrounding it. As I looked out into the water, I turn to see Laurence.

"You left me!" I shout in his face. He looks down without a single word, and disappears again. I stomp the ground in frustration.

"Hey Garroth." I turn around again to see... Laurence? I stepped back as he got closer.

Laurence looked at me sadly. "Oh.. I see.. You don't like me anymore.." He says and starts to walk away.

Tears form in my eyes. Even though I'm upset, I can't bare to see him like that. It hurts to much.

"Wait.. I'm sorry.." I mumble and he grins. Then he grabs my hand and we run off into the green filled forest.

Then all of our friends randomly show up. "What..?" I whisper as they all see me and Laurence.

"Everyone! We have to tell you something.." Laurence announces, getting all of their attention.

Everyone turned towards us. I gulped, wondering what Laurence would want to tell them.

"Me and Garroth are dating." He says, and gives me a goofy smile. I felt my heart flutter happily.

It goes silence for a minute. Then something happened that I didn't think would happen. They all started to laugh.

"Ha! Gay!" Dante shouts. My vision starts to get blurry with tears.

"Of course you two are gay! It was so obvious!" Katelyn sneers and starts laughing madly.

Everyone was making rude remarks and I felt myself break.

When I look at Laurence, he had an empty pot in his arms. "Good night." He murmured and slammed it against my head.

I felt myself get dizzy. The laughing went on. I looked up dizzy and saw Laurence smiling down at me.

Then everything went black.

"Laurence no!" I shout loudly. I look around franticly at everything around me.

I was back in the forest, Laurence laying beside me. I sighed in relief. Laurence woke up also and looked at me.

"What's wrong..?" He asked in a worried manor. "N-Nothing.. Just a bad dream.." I muttered and looked away.

He looked down at his feet and sighed. I saw the sadness in his eyes. "Laurence.. What do you think the others will say.. About us?" I whisper to him.

He shakes his head. "Their our friends. I doubt they'd say anything bad about it. And if they do, I wouldn't care."

I nod. "Thanks.." I mumble and sigh softly. Laurence stands up and holds out his hand. "Let's go tell them." He says.

I look away nervously, but gladly accept his hand. Then we both start walking out of the forest, to the town.

Hand in hand.
