The Somebody I Need (Roxas x Reader)

X - Seven Wonders

"If the rumors are true, it'll be here any minute," Hayner said.

"For they say the train is empty," Pence said in a fairly creepy voice, "no driver, no conductor, no passengers, no return..."

"Oh, grow up!" (F/n) shouted, slapping Pence lightly on his arm. We all laughed from that reaction.

"Hey, if I were correct, I'd say you're scared, (F/n)." Pence said in a rather mysterious voice.

"Yeah? Says who?" she countered.

"Says the Roxas x (F/n) fandom." (F/n) raised an eyebrow at him. "She jumps up in fear of the ghost train, looking over to Roxas with pleading eyes; 'Roxas, I'm scared' she tells him in embarrassment. Roxas knows what he has to do; his hand reaches her shoulder and he leans her in closer and closer until-"

"GIVE IT A BREAK!" (F/n) said, eyes red with hatred as she bonked Pence's head with a book she'd been keeping around. We all laughed again and the train arrived. I ran to the fence in excitement.

"Look! It's really true, and there's really no one aboard! What's the catch? There's gotta be a catch right?" I babbled on. No one said anything as if thinking for a catch. "Then it's real? Let's go to the station!"

(F/n)'s P.O.V

So we went walking to the station with the most hyped up Roxas in the world. When we got there, Roxas immediately suggested to go in the train when Hayner held him back.

"Um, you'll get hurt."

"Huh?" Roxas said in confusion. I was confused as well, the train was clearly there...

...Then I blinked and it was gone. The train will be arriving shortly, said the person through the station speakers. I stood there in total confusion and surprise.

"C'mon a train came from the beach. There was no driver right?" Roxas insisted. Pence walked into the train, ignoring Roxas. "Right?!" he said, desperately looking at me. I looked down, not knowing how to answer that question.

I made my own Seven Wonders myself on that train; the Seven Wonders of Roxas:
1. Time watch: Roxas somehow is never still whenever everyone else seems to be frozen in time.

2. Dream-Walker: He is also somehow the person I am in my dreams, maybe he's actually looking at them from a distance.

3. Night-Watcher: Some people may very rarely feel a presence next to them when they walk. Even though Roxas is actually there, his presence is none.

4. No Past: Roxas seems to have no past at all... has no one noticed this? Has no one bothered?

5. Smile-Charmer: He just somehow has a way to captivate you with a single smile.

6. Life-Changer: He has a way of changing your life when you first meet him.

7. Roxas: There isn't only one word to describe him, he seems to be empty, he doesn't seem to know how much he impacts the group.

...Me in particular.

Roxas' P.O.V

I really didn't want to go back to school. I wanted summer vacation to last forever, just like Hayner, just like everyone else. I caught myself actually wondering if (F/n) would be in the same school as us, and the thought of her not being there was just depressing. No world was complete without her in it. Well, the Seven Wonders of Twilight Town was a complete sham so I found myself in the usual spot with Hayner, Pence, and Olette waiting for (F/n) who was on ice cream duty.

"So... (F/n)." Hayner began.

I shrugged, "Yeah, what about her?"

"Say, Roxas. Do you like her?" said Olette.

"Well, she is my friend," I reasoned.

She giggled, "Not like that, silly! I mean in a romantic way!" I was lucky I had an excuse for why my face was red, since the sun was hitting my face really bad.

"Okay, two things: one, what's it to you if I have a crush on her and two, if I did have a crush on her, why would I tell anyone?" I questioned.

Olette frowned and looked away, "You're no fun, Roxas," she said in a pouty kid tone. I just chuckled to myself and as if almost on cue, (F/n) walked in.

(F/n)'s P.O.V

"So, what were you losers doing without me?" I joked. I wanted to forget all the mysterious cloaked Organization XIII figures I encountered on my way back from the ice cream place.

"Definitely not talking about you," Hayner scoffed.

I laughed, "Nice to know that someone cares for me, huh?"

"Hey, (Nickname)... I was just wondering... are we gonna be in the same school when summer's over?" Roxas asked. I stopped for a moment to think about it.

"We don't need to worry about that," I smiled at him, "I'm sure we will."

How else should I have answered that question?

After a while of hanging around, Roxas started insisting on the seventh wonder. He went off on his own at that point.

Roxas' P.O.V

"Roxas!" came the soft voice from Naminé.

"Naminé? This is... me? Axel's here too!" I said in surprise. I remembered Axel from the Struggle, when all time was stopped for the first time.

"You are best friends," Naminé said.

I scoffed, "Very funny."

"Don't you want to know the truth? About who you really are?" Naminé asked.

"Hey, no one knows me, better than me," I smiled.

She giggled before replying, "Of course." after a little more talking, Naminé explained what was going on, "About a year ago, some things happened and I had to take apart the memories chained together in Sora's heart. But now, I'm putting them all back exactly the way they were," she paused, "it's taken a long time, but pretty soon Sora will be his old self again. The process has been affecting you as well, Roxas."

"You mean the dreams?"

"Yes, you and Sora are connected, and in order for him to become whole again, he needs you."

"Me? What for?"

"You hold half of what he is. He needs you, Roxas."

I paused for a bit before speaking, "Namine? Namine, just who are you?"

She explained about her being a witch, or at least, that's what a man named DiZ calls her. All of a sudden I just felt new to the world.

"It's funny, suddenly I feel like I don't know myself at all. I guess I would like to know... what do you know about me that I don't?" I asked, a part of me not so serious on what she was going to say.

"You... you were..."

Never supposed to exist.
