The Last of the Saizo Clan (Naruto Fanfic)

Chapter 4 *EDITED*

 Before I knew what I was doing a hugged him and said, "Thank you Sasuke." Since I painted my apartment black so it'd feel more like home the flower would survive in it. I put the flower in a vase on the island in the kitchen. Sasuke held out his hand and I hesitantly took it. We got some barbecue to-go since when we got there Sakura showed up and practically invited herself to join us. When she got up to go do whatever Sakura does before she could come back we ordered our food to-go and left.

 We ate on the Hokage Tower. I'm honestly surprised no ANBU have attacked us yet they should do something about that. We ate in silence until I got bored of it and asked, "If you don't mind me asking can you tell me what happened to your family?" He nodded and said,"It's only fair since I found out by walking in the wrong place at the wrong time." He sighed,"A few months before you showed up, my brother slaughtered my whole clan leaving me alone with the last words he said to me being 'I only acted like the brother you desired to test my ability'" I looked at him and his eyes were closed and his fists were clenched.

 I picked up one of his hands in my own and said, "I'm sorry." His fists un-clenched. He nodded and we sat in silence for a while once again. "Wanna play a game?" I said breaking the silence. "What kind of game?" he asked with a smirk. "Not THAT type of game you perv!" I yelled pushing him playfully. "20 questions?" I suggested. He shrugged and I said,"Me first. What were your first thoughts of me?" "Well at first I thought great another fangirl and when you completely ignored my existence I assumed you must be shy, but outside I thought you were skilled and that I'd have to be able to spar and defeat you in a sparring match before I could go after Itachi." he said smirking at the memory I suppose. "I thought you were just another cocky bastard with an attitude problem whose ass I would kick by the end of the day out of annoyance. Then I saw the technique you did outside. Most people may not have but I liked it and the way you did it so perfectly it's like you've strived to do that correctly practicing it for years I envied how easy you made it seem." I said with a small smile.

 "Your turn." I said. "Why do you seem like your guarding your heart?" he asked looking at me genuinely curious. "I suppose I could blame it on my kekkei genkai but then I'd be lying to myself. Maybe it's because after going through the heart break of becoming and orphan I don't wanna go through that again." I said with a shrug trying to make it seem like I didn't care even though it was obvious I did. "What about you?" I asked. "I know what you mean but my case is slightly different you could say I guess. I'd get it if it was just some other random ninja but it wasn't it was my own brother the one I trusted the most. I looked up to him and I guess he used it to his advantage. The fact that the reason I have no family what so ever is because of my brother just makes it worse. I guess I don't wanna go through that again." he said staring at the moon.

 So we're practically on the same boat. It started to get windy. I shivered and pulled my feet up to my chest. "Cold?" Sasuke asked. I nodded with a slight blush on my face. He took off his blazer and put it on my shoulders. I smiled and snuggled into his chest as he wrapped his arm around my waist. We continued our game of 20 questions making it a game of 300 questions we got up to leave at 3 am. Oddly enough it wasn't awkward at all and I had a good time. Sadly we have a mission tomorrow so we have to end the date here. We stood at my door step awkwardly for a while until I had the nerve to peck him on the lips and whisper, "Thanks for a good time Sasuke." He nodded with a slight blush on his face while I handed him back his blazer. He turned around and walked away. When he was out of my view a walked inside my house smiling like an idiot. Luckily Mai is sound asleep so I won't be interrogated about the date until tomorrow. I changed into my pajamas and fell asleep with a smile etched on my face. 

[The Next Day]

Sasuke waited for me outside of my apartment so we could walk together. I was happy to see him for two reasons 1) I was eager to see him and 2) I didn't wanna walk along because Mai went ahead without me because she wanted to bother Sakura. We're walking in silence. It's not an awkward silence it's a comfortable one. We got to the meeting area and Sakura immediately ran up to him and yelled, "Sasuke! Are you okay!? What did she do to you? Did she rape you!?" I chuckled darkly, shook my head and sat in the shade. Sasuke then said something about her being annoying which left her moping like someone just killed her puppy while he came and sat next to me. "Sorry about that." he said. I giggled and said, " It's not your fault that's been happening ever since Iruka sat me next to you back at the academy."

 We sat staring at each other. His eyes flickered to my lips and back to my eyes and mine did the same. We both began leaning in I closed my eyes and- "Ahem!" Sakura yelled probably making me deaf in my right ear. I didn't bother to open my eyes while laying down as if nothing happened and mumbled, "Do you need something Sakura?" Not really caring about her response. She 'hn'ed and said, "Yes there is, I want you to keep your crummy bummy slutty hands off MY Sasuke understand?!" Then she kicked me in the face.

 My eyes shot open. She had a smug look on her face while Sasuke was looking pissed. I appeared in her shadow and tripped her from behind. I then straddled her waist and held one of my twin katana to her throat while holding her shirt to make sure the message got through. "You can call me every name in the Kami given book called the dictionary but if you ever in your LIFE lay your hands on me again I swear on my parents' graves I will not hesitate to strike you dead where you stand. Do I make myself clear?" I said through grit teeth while releasing her shirt. I put the sword back in it's sheath and jumped onto the roof creating a shadow tent around myself. I pulled my knees up to my chest waiting for Kakashi to show up. After a while Sasuke joined me. I longed to say something but everything I wanted to say got caught in my throat. What is this feeling?
