They started announcing the names of the doctors one by one who were to be awarded. When the name of Dave was called, the applauses echoed in the hall. He was given the 'Award of Excellence in Cardiology in India' for handling a critical case perfectly. He was the youngest Doctor to achieve that award.

Dave received the award from a legendary eminent cardiologist of India. His heart was bubbling in delirium. Angel was continuously clapping seeing her husband receiving a honorable award. Dave stood before the mic with his hand tightening his grip on the award.
" Before I start, I thank all the dignitaries, the eminent doctors and the people gathered here for giving me this wonderful chance. It is an honor to be here with you all today and grateful to be the recipient of this award."
He chuckled and looked at the award in his hand before continuing.
" I don't know how many of you will believe that once I hated to be a Doctor. Never once in my life I thought that I could be a successful Doctor. My passion was photography and I wished it to be my profession too. Now I thank my parents for pushing me into the medical field. I don't regret it now. "
His eyes wandered around the crowd and halted on Angel. His face reflected the gleefulness within him.

" Thanks to the person who made me to understand the value of my profession. Thanks for making me a human too. As everyone knew, behind every successful man there is a woman. The person I'm mentioning is none other than my loving dear wife. This is not the end and now I promise to continue my service conscientiously. Thank you to everyone once again for this grateful moment. "
Dave graciously left the stage and returned to his seat while the hall was filled with applause. As soon as he took his seat, Angel hugged him and congratulated him. Later for celebrating that moment, Dave took her and their kids to restaurant.
