I am right beside her, shaking her slightly. She just cries.

I sit beside her, pulling her into my arms and letting her cry. The police signal they're coming forward and i nod as she grips my top. She notices they've come further and sits up, looking deep into my eyes.

"You"

"What?"

"You said you wouldn't"

"What are you talking about?"

"You said you wouldn't let them take me! You promised you'd stay with me forever!"

"I haven't done anything"

I see her fist clench and her other hand wrap around the knife.

"Cheryl stay calm, ok? Don't let yourself get into any more trouble"

"I thought you loved me Kimberley, i thought wrong didn't i?"

"No babe, course not. I'm right here aren't i? I aren't going anywhere"

She stands up, unstable as i also get up, watching every movement she makes with the knife.

"You couldn't wait to get rid of me, could you? Just waited for Crazy Cheryl to go on a rampage then i'd be gone?! WELL I AM NOT CRAZY!"

She screams at me, a distance becoming between us as i slowly shuffle back.

Her hands are hidden in her hair as she grip hers head, repeating the words and getting louder.

"I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy"

Over and over again. Police still moving slowly closer making me feel a lot more safer. She suddenly stops, freezing right there.

She's quite far away from me now, quite a few steps anyway. Her head slowly lifts up, her eyes turn from the police back to mine when she starts laughing to herself.

"I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy"

She laughs before a serious expression takes over her face and her knuckles go white from the grip of the knife. I shake my head at her, unaware of what's about to happen next.

"I AM NOT CRAZY!"

She screams before running at me, i don't know what happens from there. Everything's a blur.

She ran at me, the knife held up in the air and that crazed look on her face. I didn't move or even flinch until i heard that gun shot. She got straight to me and i thought for a moment, maybe the knife did go inside me but i hear the metal drop to the floor. Cheryl puts her hand on my shoulder and blood drips out from her mouth. I look down where her hand is clutching her chest and blood is pouring from in between her fingers. She sinks down on to her knees and falls back on the floor. Everything seems so quiet, like it's in slow motion.

Finally reality hits me, i drop to the floor beside her screaming and crying hysterically. Her eyes are open but still. I cover the bullet wound with my own hand, blood still not stopping. Police move closer as paramedics follow.

One bends down beside me, checking for her heartbeat. Checking if Cheryl is still alive. She stands up looking down at her watch.

"Time of death 2.40am-"

"No! No! Please!"

I scream as the girls come into sight, all staring in complete shock.

"She wasn't crazy"

I whisper looking down at the lifeless body in front of me.

"SHE WASN'T CRAZY!"

I scream louder just like Cheryl did before i look around me. The girls, police men and women and paramedics all stood in shock and confusion. That doesn't stop me shouting once again.

"SHE WASN'T CRAZY! SHE WASN'T CRAZY!"

"Kimberley! Kimberley!"

A soft panicky Geordie voice calls me. My whole body is being shaken and my eyes finally open to be met with Cheryl's dark brown eyes staring into mine. She wipes the sweat from my forehead and passes me a glass of water. I grab her hand tightly.

"It's ok, it's just a dream, you're ok"

She whispers before kissing my cheek and putting the water on the table beside the bed.

"Are you ok?"

She asks, her hand rested below my face and her thumb moving around my cheek. I nod, wiping away the tears that have ran down my face.

"It's just a dream"

She repeats before kissing my head and snuggling down beside her, laying the head on my shoulder.

It's just a dream.
