I Wouldn't Mind

Chapter 10 [Part 2]

My family was different, my father and mother loved each other very much, even if they had busy schedules, they try to come home for Katy, and they try to reach me and ask me about school. They enrolled me to an average highschool because they wanted me to be aware of the outskirts in town, and not to be isolated and blinded by all the riches in the kind of society we have. Even though we own the college I'm in right now, they didn't want anyone to know that I was the son of the owner, so that I won't catch too much attention. I didn't know that people here are like detectives no matter how much we kept quiet, the news spread like wildfire. My parents can't do anything about it, and I can't do anything too. The only person who doesn't know is Gaby, she hated gossip. 

Gaby looks okay now, I can see her face lighten up. She never really liked talking about her family, she didn't like talking about family problems. So I just decided to keep quiet, and waited for her to talk.

After a while, Gaby regained her strength and started to talk nonsense again. This time we were walking around the park. Katy was still playing with her friends, so we decided it was okay to walk around. We were by pond, and Gaby suddenly became silent. 

"May sasabihin pala ako David!" she grabbed my hand. At hinila ako nito paupo. We sat on the grass, and Gaby looked serious. 

"Y-you see, th-there's a guy named Jino...and" 

"Wait, you know him too?" I cut her off. Then I suddenly remembered Ian talking about Jino and Gaby, na "ilalakad" daw niya ito sa kanya. 

"Kilala mo din siya?" she looked surprised. 

"Kakakilala ko lang sa kanya, uhm... Monday yata yun...pero anong meron kay Jino?" I asked, my heart was beating really loud, I can't find the reason why I was being nervous. Gaby was blushing, could it be? Does Gaby like Jino? And Jino likes Gaby back? Did Jino came back for Gaby? Para matuloy nila ang naudlot nilang love story? Magiging sila na kaya this time? But most of all, will he take Gaby from me? 

WAIT WHAT? NO. I mean Gaby's time. Kapag nagkaroon ng boyfriend si Gaby, syempre mawawalan siya ng time SA AMIN nila Joan at Ian. Pero diba dapat masaya ako para sa kanya? I can't help but feel...

"Nagseselos ako ah" Holy shit, did I just say that? O.O Wala na akong magagawa paninindigan ko na, pero wtf did I just say. 

Gaby laughed and punched me lightly, "Anong selos?!"

I just had to tell her how I feel. 

"Syempre, kapag naging boyfriend mo si Jino, baka ilayo ka niya sa akin! O kaya baka naman mawalan ka na ng oras para sakin, p-pero syempre di lang sa akin, sa amin! Diba? Tapos ano--" nagulat ako nang tinakpan ni Gaby ang bunganga ko. She was smiling at me, she was all red, and there it was again, her beautiful face blushing and smiling at me. 

Damn, it. 

"Manahimik ka nga muna! Sino ba naman kasing may sabi sayo na magiging kami? Wala pa akong sinasabi ah!" binitawan niya na ako. 

"Ha? Eh, naisip ko lang, nagb-blush ka eh" she looked surprised with what I said. She didn't know that she was blushing. I heard her murmured something as she touched her cheeks. Tinanong ko ko ano iyon pero secret daw. 

"Look, Jino's not going to be my boyfriend okay?" I just listened attentively. 

"Kasi we've been there...and it's over." 

Nagulat ako, "n-naging kayo?" I asked again, baka kasi nananaginip ako eh. Gaby just nodded, I never thought that Gaby...and Jino would...

Gaby continued talking, "It didn't work out for the both of us, he separated with me in bad terms, so this time, we would try to work things out. We broke up bec--"
